Rewatch Discussion Rewatch: Brock
Brock omg.. I know this has been discussed at lengths in this subred but Im watching the season where Rachel/ Raquel and James get engaged and the fact he tried to stage a proposal at their engagement party?? As well as trying to get Randall and Lala to cover the bill for the failed proposal/ movie premiere. He’s so sketchy and such a bum… Just had to air my feelings out because it’s genuinely absurd.

He's such an obnoxious moron!!
saw some of those episodes for the first time and it's beyond cringe to watch his antics. He inserted himself into 50 different scenarios - was so incredibly gauche asking for Randall to stage a huge movie premiere so he could propose - then glomming onto James's weekend ??!? He's such a sleazebag - he has no manners or social skills but neither does scheana so it's a perfect fit. Can you imagine being married to that guy ? Worst nightmare ever

When James kicked him out of the engagement party, Scheana asked if that meant she had to go too! She stayed back without him, her brand new fiance. Both are tacky and deserve each other.

He is the absolute worst. Not to mention he abandoned his previous kids and domestically abused his ex. On top of that Scheana said in her book he actually cheated on her during covid while she was pregnant.

Isn't it a bit ironic how he "wanted to give his children a better life" while going to America and getting another woman pregnant? I don't know how calculated he is, yet I'm sure he made sure to do everything and anything Scheana wanted to do to guarantee his ability to get a green card. You also need to show proof and validity of the relationship, so doing all the social media & VPR helped with that. Everything he did was for himself.

All this plus, Scheana naming that child "Summer" when his abandoned daughter's name is "Winter" is hideous, and the fact that he went along with it shows what a true scumbag he is.

I'm pretty sure Scheana also had her daughter on the same day as his daughter too. Weird and cringey are the nicest ways I can put it.

I’m sorry but wanting a better life…by moving to AMERICA from Australia?! Just shows he’s a fkn flop who sucks at business, Australia is not called the “lucky country” for nothing. The fact that F45, the fitness franchise he had in USA doesn’t even exist anymore is hilarious to me.

I just rewatched the episode where Schaena said she was terrified of getting sick during Covid bc of her previous miscarriage which makes this even MORE egregious

He says he came to America for a better life like Australia is some third world country

I believe Scheana later said that this whole setup was producer driven and contrived.
Agree Broke is cheap and gross.

Yeah I was going to say I remember hearing it was all her bending over backwards doing her people pleasing stuff as usual, but I don’t remember the details.
I think she was on a daily rate (not full time cast) and Brock wasn’t getting paid at all (despite how present he was in the season) so they were really trying to be present to get paid and do what they were asked?
•
u/Unique-Cat9325 8h ago
She was never a people pleaser. She's a Scheana pleaser.
•
u/rshni67 8h ago
Yes, a lot of manipulative backstabbers pretend to be people pleasers when all they are doing is being transactional and deceptive.
Glad she is stuck with Broke. He is her karma.
•
u/Unique-Cat9325 7h ago
Yes, transactional is the perfect word for a flip flopper. She would wait to see what was best for her, and that would dictate who she was friends with. Yuck.

As someone said at one of the reunions, a friend to everyone is a friend to no one.

The reason she got demoted in the first place is that viewers really (justifiably) despised Broke and producers knew she would do their bidding to be extra. That's what Scheana gets for being so male centered and thirsty.
Still can't justify the horrible, mentally abusive stuff she did to the women on the cast (and Shay). Dayna's psychic comes to mind, as well as her bullying of her and Charli, in addition to what she did to Katie and Ariana.
I have always respected Dayna and Charli for walking away rather than caving to producer pressure, and, much later, Ariana, for the spine she showed (finally) after Scandoval, for not violating her boundaries in S11 after Lisa's despicable attempt at the redemption arc.
I have zero respect for Scheana for pretending to be Ariana's friend, profiting off Scandoval, and then stabbing Ariana in the back.

I actually just read this part of her book, and she says their plan was to get married the day BEFORE the engagement party at the same place w/ Tom and Ariana as witnesses but couldn’t due to issues with Covid, so production tried to pressure them into doing it the day of, which Scheana “would never do!”
So… they were still planning to get married during the engagement celebration and it had nothing to do with production, Scheana’s excuse was it wasn’t the day of the party but the day before lmfao
Them telling the group about the engagement and Lala bringing it up at the actual engagement party was the staged part/production driven.

Ariana defending Scheana that it wasn’t the day of the party so it’s fair pissed me off SO MUCH.
•
u/rshni67 8h ago
I would not believe a word of her book because if Scheana's lips are moving, she is lying, as has been proved many times.
Scheana and Broke were pathetic in their gift/cash/attention grab behavior at the "engagement" and "wedding" in Mexico, when they were already married for his green card.

Although unethical with hindsight being 20/20 should’ve just done it at James and Rachel’s engagement. Who cares they’re both awful people who didn’t deserve the moment (and it was a fake moment)

Don't forget to point out that he dropped thousands on a gaudy morganite ring instead of paying child support
