OC Prometheus & the Rocket: I designed a flag for Left-Accelerationism (L/Acc) with some color variations

L/Acc (Left-Wing Accelerationism) is a political philosophy that advocates for pushing rapid technological progress and automation to their absolute limits and "hijacking"/reclaiming them to achieve a post-scarcity society and emancipate humanity from mandatory labor.

The flag shows Prometheus (the core symbol of techno-humanism and democratization of technology) hitching a ride on a rocket. This is a visual metaphor for reclaiming technological progress to liberate humanity instead of letting it go rogue against it. Prometheus captures the raw technological power to spread it equitably, lighting the way so everyone can catch up and move forward together.

Note: I don"t necessarily adhere to L/Acc myself; I just thought it'd be fun to make a flag for it

The red version looks stellar! Love the symbolism and the composition

I like how torch and rocket flames work in both ways - you can see it as him igniting the torch with the exhaust jet, but you can also intepret it as him lighting rocket boosters with a torch to make it fly (this is how I saw this initially)!

Thank you! I'm leaning towards it being the best one as well. Concerning the flames, my idea was that Prometheus is taking the fire from the rocket to symbolize making the progress equitable and beneficial for everyone. But now that I think about it, it can work the other way too, symbolizing the acceleration of progress

I like all 4. The red one is the best if you are aiming for left win politics. The other 3 color scheme give me early inpendence African flags vibes.

I don't like the 50s pulp fiction rocked. The more stylized one from Soviet posters would look less cartoonist.

I agree that it would look cooler, but at the same time I didn't want it to look too Soviet. I also worried about how it would fit proportionally

You can also go for a lander.

I'd love to hear your feedback: which color scheme do you think works the best? Does the visual of him lighting the torch from the exhaust read clearly to you?
