This October, we want you to redesign three flags which are notoriously easy to confuse with one another
We want you to create redesigns of the flags of the following three countries, with the aim of making each one more visually distinctive from the other two
You are free to change the proportions, arrangement, symbols, shades, or other elements of the existing designs.
DO NOT show your design ANYWHERE ELSE on the subreddit before the contest is over.
No more than TWO flag designs per entrant. You can either do two designs for one country, or one design EACH for two different countries.
Submission deadline is Sunday 18th October 2026. Voting will begin on Monday 19th October and end on Tuesday 27th October.
To submit a redesign of Poland, click here.
If you have a redesign of Indonesia, this link is where to go
For anyone wanting to redesign Monaco, the best place to send it to is here

Just saw this wrong Saudi flag on a price tag with a palm instead of the words. I assume that they can't display the holy writing, but I am not sure.

I have designed a flag and a symbol for hikikomori - people who live in social isolation.
The color black signifies a rejection of participation in society.
The color white represents purity and a commitment to the hikikomori way of life.
The black circle is a reference to the red circle on the flag of Japan.

This one was a bit rushed id say, so its kind of low quality but oh well

I always loved the Pernambuco flag, and had the feeling it had a great potential for a LGBT flag.
So now here it is, I replaced the rainbow for a LGBT one and the cross that is restrictive for a heart ❤️, more universal, I hope you like it!

L/Acc (Left-Wing Accelerationism) is a political philosophy that advocates for pushing rapid technological progress and automation to their absolute limits and "hijacking"/reclaiming them to achieve a post-scarcity society and emancipate humanity from mandatory labor.
The flag shows Prometheus (the core symbol of techno-humanism and democratization of technology) hitching a ride on a rocket. This is a visual metaphor for reclaiming technological progress to liberate humanity instead of letting it go rogue against it. Prometheus captures the raw technological power to spread it equitably, lighting the way so everyone can catch up and move forward together.
Note: I don"t necessarily adhere to L/Acc myself; I just thought it'd be fun to make a flag for it

I don’t know anything about flags but i thought they were really cool and wanted to see about how old they are!
Edit: these are small flags (maybe obvious) the union jack (?) is like 15x13 and the other one is 12x11

It was found in a French-Canadian historically rich home, with other museum-esque old flags. Lots of military and proposition flags, but this one, I can't find exact matches.
From descriptions, it might be a 1905 proposal by Henri Lesieur, but I can't confirm this. And it's said that it was never actually made of it's that one.
Looking for identification, and almost debating selling it.

A future where New Zealand is a socialist republic and proudly embraces its Maori heritage. The silver fern is already used as the symbol of the country in sporting events.

I changed the appearance of the flag from the original, not essentially the Confederate flag, but with a different symbol; regardless, this flag has a similar ornamental pattern to Belarus but more original, placed between the stripes. The white represents unity, the red the sacrifice of the people, and the central cross shows the industry of the nation, with the symbol in the middle cross being a homage to the people's culture, making the flag distinct from all the other nations it borders.

An original flag I whipped up to represent the Rough Pig Union faction from RimWorld - Biotech. They are a nation of industrial, chauvinistic and militant pigskins (a race of genetically modified humans with pig-like characteristics). The central symbol is reminiscent of a pig's snout and is meant to have a fascist vibe, while the blue represents their in-game faction color.
I think it turned out very well!
