Fallout is different though.

The Fallout show isn't about the Fallout games. It is a show set in the Fallout universe. The show isn't about the courier, or the wanderer, or any of the people you play in Fallout games.

If they made The Witcher about some random other Witcher, not Geralt, then it would be the same thing. I don't think that show would be nearly as popular, and that is the key difference.

Twisted Metal seems to be somewhat in the middle, but maybe that is because of the type of game it is based off.

Agreed. From what I've seen and read, Johnathan Nolan is really just a fan of the franchise and brought Todd Howard into the creative process. Hopefully they'll do the same with God of War and the Warhammer 40K show

There's a Warhammer show coming up? I don't play the games but I like the universe.

Yea and Henry Cavill is a producer IIRC

don't know why you got downvoted for stating a fact.

Yup. I think it's also gonna be made by the same team that did Secret Level

There's multiple projects actually. There's the animated show about the Deathwatch that will be done by Blur studios (who made the Secret Level short), and then there's a seperate live action project where Henry Cavill is a producer and plays the lead character, which we don't know anything about yet in terms of story/setting.

Yeah that's because Bethesda were involved, nit because of Amazon

Little of both I'd say

I wish they just didn't destroy every preexisting faction. Especially for minor character motivation

Yeah I was blown away by how much love went into that show. So far as I wish it went the other way, and the showrunner's were working on Bethesda's games. Then we might get a coherent plot, instead of the slop they've been churning out.
