Image / Video Two minute apart from each other

Post image

This is just wild. PlayStation wanted to end their partnership with Hideo Kojima. So Xbox was like: "Your loss."

This year is really starting to feel like an inverse of 2014 when Xbox ruined their public image with some insane Always Online DRM requirements and PlayStation capitalized on that.

So Xbox….fired thousands of people…just to spend a ton of money in a partnership with Kojima? Who demands AAA budget + Hollywood stars?

From Xbox perspective it's a power move, they know alot of people don't really remember layoffs unless they kill the whole studio with it, another thing is right now Sony is making alot of controversial decisions that are unpopular within their players so Xbox sees this as an opportunity to claw back popularity by one uping PlayStation where they can. As of now PlayStation is most likely going to make more unpopular decisions before the year ends that makes me wonder how on Earth are Hideaki Nishino and Herman Hulst on their run as CEOs making Jim Ryan's cursed time as PlayStation's CEO look like heaven

Great power move that doesn’t interest anyone outside of the very hardcore fans lmao
His games aren’t selling well enough so his name really doesn’t have the pull to justify calling this a power move
