Discussion I Love Yoo fans?
this was literally my first ever webtoon I read way back in 2017 ig 😭 I have so much nostalgia and memories when I think abt it sometimes it was sOOO GOOD at the start but idk what happened all these recent years the plot went all over the place and I feel like a romance webtoon turned into more of a drama type genre idkk but I always shipped yoo with kosuke 😭😭

Was my fisrt webtoon too in 2018 🥹 I haven't picked it up since the last hiatus. The plot had dragged so long

I loooved I love yoo and I still do! fun fact, apparently webtoon was the one marketing it as a romance, not quimchee! it was always meant to be a drama! the layers she's able to add are insane and I remember back in 2019 there were so many posts theorizing the symbolism and plot... man those were fun

It's always been a drama, but Webtoon tried to force it as a romance.
The story is still ongoing after 2 major hiatuses due to the author's medical issues and starting a family. But they still release weekly episodes, and the story is so addictive! Like, I'm enthralled by some of these developments, and the villains are evil with a capital E.

i love manhwas which realistically show the social gap between the characters, most of them brush it off im letting it marinate till im ready to binge read one final time

I like it, but the pacing seriously bothers me.
This series has no business being this long. There’s probably 50-100 episodes that are poorly disguised filler, and the episodes where things do progress move at a snails pace.

It became a ping pong ball between the boys to further the storyline, i loved yoo so much and then the sister buildup being so anti climatic was where it started going down for me..

Me! I am such a huge fan of the story right now. I like that it didn't go down the romance route that maybe Webtoon was pushing it to.
I get confused on the ages but I always thought Kousuke was slightly older than Shinae. At he drinks heavily, is done with college, and is looking at becoming the next successor to the corporation.
But ya, it's not a cute romance with rich boys and a poor girl anymore.
