Factory workers barely produce anything: it's the machines that make things for them, and the workers mostly just guide the machines. Real human production was killed by the Industrial Revolution, which also made cities more smelly.

Yeah, but even in 'real' human production, it's actually the muscles doing the work, the brain is merely telling them what to do.

My mom birthed me so actually she's the one doing my job

This is true though. Nobody says they build cars if they just supervise the robot arms that weld cars in auto plants. They don't claim they build cars if their job is programing the robot arms. If I say I build PCs nobody assumes I'm making chips and boards.

How is that different from a CEO presenting a new product that they told their employees to make?

Claude isn't an employee, also most CEOs (well, dipshits like musk do) don't claim that they themselves designed and produced the product if their employees did. When Tim Apple introduces the new iphone, does he say "I designed..." or "We designed..."?

So uh going off what some other guy said, if someone sits down at a computer, opens up Claude, and says “hack company xyz”

They have hacked the company. Legally, morally, ethically, linguistically.

So someone else sits down at a computer, opens up Claude, and says “make a mod that does xyz”

Apparently they have not made a mod in any way?

How does that make sense?
