Modding is miserable right now because Nexus is flooded with AI crap mods that barely works.

Yeah, I just look for old mods that were made before AI

It's an effective filter, but many of those aren't compatible with later versions of some games

Rule34 has an AI slop filter. Software depots should have too.

But more seriously, AI is likely permeating programming from now on, so it's not going to work. What you need is reviews. Some sort of seal of quality.

It doesn't make sense to filter it for software because 93% of developers use it. You wouldn't be able to use technology anymore

Non-coders love to think AI code is unpopular.

That one is self-regulated iirc, since some will have useful tags, and some will do the bare minimum, so it's a coin toss if a person uses AI (and there's also the AI enhanced ones, where the art is AI sharpened but the artist is not saying sht).

Our only recourse is having YouTubers who are less interested in kids and more interested in doing detective work for ai content in mods

Why do you know that? 👀 (I know that too)

I've seen a few mods where they made ("made") an "updated/overhauled" version of the mod with ai and then archived all the old versions... Sucks when it's an old mod I used and wanted to update, but I'd rather use an older buggier non ai version or straight up not use it at all.
