To you, certainly. But art and beauty are subjective things. You can't convince me that code isn't art because even as a novice, I've written code that had more care and beauty of symmetry as the Jackson Pollocks hanging in the museum down town.
The code being designed is art I agree. But the literal words in the file is not art. The line gets blurred a lot. And with vibecoding and ai assisted coding a lot of the time AI ends up making design decisions.
The literal words in the file...? What are you talking about? This is the kind of thing that makes me suspect that you have not programmed much. There is no clear distinction between 'code' and 'the literal words'. This is akin to saying that a story can be art but the literal words on the pages are not.
You can downvote my previous comment if you want, but this will not change the subjectivity of art. Nor will it do anything to elevate what you care about to something higher than personal preference.
