The 1C has more than one bus. And that bus could be on any route tomorrow. Which one was it? What was the bus number?

Sadly I didn't get the bus number I was shaking. It was roughly around 1030pm coming from Tecumseh mall to downtown. It was one of the two 1C running at the time from that direction

They should be able to tell which bus it is if you included that information in your 311 report. And really that's the most important thing - that Transit Windsor is able to narrow it down and do whatever cleaning/treatments they need to do.

Honestly, roaches aren't that big an issue.

They're not like bedbugs, they probably aren't going to try to hitch a ride with you unless there's food.

Gross, yes, report the bus number to transit windsor, but don't worry too much about them, they don't like to be exposed, meaning they're not going to cross an open area just to get into your bag.

Talking to a nighttime driver, the busses get bedbug infestations too. They then have to be fumigated.

I hate those cloth covered seats.

Oh they absolutely do.

At least with roaches the chances of transfer are less

Totally valid, just a gross pest to potentially bring home with you so wanted to give a nice heads up to anyone that may want to know!

Report to 311. I have been impressed with my Transit related 311 requests

I imagine they all do lmao. They sit outside where roaches tend to live their life

There were bees outside today too. Someone saw a spider. I saw a bird, and a scary looking dog. Perhaps we should all stay inside. FFS, you think a roach was the worst thing on that bus?

Brother what. Those are normal things to see in a clean area. Roaches are not. Im 36 and ive never once seen a live roach.

I have only seen them in museums.

I don't take transit anymore, but if I did, I'd want to know this 😩

Have some compassion for other people. Maybe OP has had an infestation before, and now they're really sensitive to roaches. Or maybe they're phobic of bugs.

Like, do I think a roach or three on a bus is a big deal? No, but it's easy enough for me to just go "oh that's unfortunate" and move on. But you made the decision to denigrate another human being. You actively spent some of your energy to make them feel bad.

Do better.

Thank you for your comment. I was about to say something along those lines too. People are just too self-centered these days.

Also, cockroach allergies exist; I am deathly allergic to roaches and frequently take the 1C. It takes only a few to put me in the hospital, so stepping onto that bus would be pretty much a death sentence for me without my Epi.

That's wretched, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I didn't realize you could be allergic to them, and googling it... Well hopefully the busses get regular cleanings!

Reddit is a place of emotion & no logic, down votes on your comment clearly demonstrates that. Such an unnecessary post LOL
