I’m looking for someone to play chess with me in the riverside. I’m 1800 chess.com but don’t care about the level. I just want to play over the board and enjoying my favorite hobby. I’m also French and want to improve my English by doing that.
I don’t care who I have in front of me. I enjoyed playing against kids or grandpa in my club in France.

So, you want to refer to that as the riverfront, though it's really big so most people refer to specific sections of the park. I think that section is mostly Assumption North Park and the Sculpture Park. It's a bit confusing since it's all one long park but it's called by different names depending on where you are.

Just to save you from some future confusion, "Riverside" is the name of a neighbourhood on the east side of the city so when people read that they might assume you mean around there. Not your fault!

I remember they were trying to rename that area to "Riverwest" a while back but it never really took off. To me that area is either Bridgeview or University depending.

Try Tecumseh Chess otb on Instagram, ive been a few times they meet every weekend for over the board games at a chess school in tecumseh. The guy who runs it is great and I think has a rating of 1700tecumseh chess

The library has a couple of free drop in chess clubs. All ages, all ratings. Riverside branch twice a week and once a week at Budimir Branch.
