Need Advice

I got 4 wisdom teeth extracted on October 8th so that puts me on day 10 of recovery as of writing this. I am still in a lot of pain. My pain has not gotten worse but it also doesn’t feel like it’s improving and I’m still on a heavy pain medicine schedule. My mouth seems to be recovering fine as there was no physical indicators of infection and I seem to be healing fine. Should I still be worried? For context I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted on the same day and they were all impacted. My top two were growing very close to my sinuses while my bottom two were very close to my nerve endings in my bottom lip. Please help I haven’t had good sleep since my surgery 😭

What are the symptoms you have? The pain areas - could you mention whether the pain is traveling? Is it like an electric jolt sort of a sharp pain or normal dull persistent ache?

Mostly just pain. It feels like an annoying ache that doesn’t go away until I take pain medicine. It feels like it travels between the extraction site itself and then to my cheek

I would call your dentist to see if you are infected maybe? Im on day 10 and im still uncomfortable but no pain

Maybe but it doesn’t look infected at all. My teeth were very deeply rooted into my gums so I’m possibly considering it’s just my mouth reacting to the trauma. I hate wasting peoples time so I’d rather call when I’m sure there is something not quite right with the healing😩

I got all four of mine out on the 7th and haven’t had pain or needed meds since the middle of last week. Healing isn’t linear but your pain should be improving I’d think. Go with your gut, it might be worth getting checked out even for peace of mind.
