Explore Azeroth. Discover its stories. Keep a record of your journey.
Forever Companion is an exploration and discovery addon for WoW Forever. It records what you find as you play and tells you what it means: a zone guide, an automatic journal with a bestiary, a lore catalog with an optional narrator, enhanced tooltips, map pins, character statistics and guild sharing. Most of it works in the background with no setup.
Fully translated into five languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Russian, from the journal and settings down to every lore entry.
The narrator speaks when the addon language is English; set it in Settings > Language or with /fc settings language, independently of your game client
Lore for 826 NPCs and bosses, and all 46 zones, written from Warcraft Wiki and the Classic quest texts, Classic era only, with sources in the journal. Nothing is made up: NPCs without a documented story have none. Every entry is translated into all five languages.
The narrator reads more: journal list and Zone Guide entries on hover, quest givers in the Zone Guide, a new discovery the moment you make it, and the zone's story when you enter it for the first time. 1,344 recordings, spoken when the addon language is English; each automatic moment has its own switch.
Zones are discoveries: every zone you reach gets a journal entry, and the first arrival opens the Zone Guide.
World map button: plain drag to move it, keeps clear of the game's Map Pin button, can be hidden.
Zone Guide
Opens from the world map, with /fc zone, or by itself when you first enter a zone.
Quests, rares, world bosses, treasures, caves, flight paths, dungeon quests and zone achievements, for Alliance and Horde, with your progress.
Hide what is done, hover a quest giver to read who they are, set waypoints from the guide.
Journal and Bestiary
Rares, bosses, vendors, trainers, recipes, flight masters, treasures, caves, gathering nodes, zones and more are recorded automatically.
An NPC known in lore shows its story on its entry, whether you bought from it, trained with it or fought it.
The Bestiary keeps the creatures you meet: level, type, observed loot.
Search, tags, favorites, archive, personal notes.
Stories and Narration
Catalog entries for 826 NPCs and bosses, 46 zones, 370 rares, 30 dungeons and raids, 106 caves and underground places, each with source references.
An optional narrator with 1,344 local recordings, active when the addon language is set to English: hover a map pin, a journal card or a Zone Guide row and he reads it; discover something with a story, or enter a zone for the first time, and he reads that too. In the other languages the same stories are there to read.
Rares, dungeons, caves, zones and the most notable NPCs are recorded; the remaining NPC accounts get their recordings in a coming update.
Narration, volume, hover delay and the automatic moments: Settings > Narrator.
Tooltips and Quest Tracking
Quests an NPC gives and takes, each with your status: Done, Ready to turn in, progress, Not started.
Creatures needed for a quest, with live progress.
Quest item sources, notable loot, drop locations, coordinates, rare spawn details, NPC and item IDs.
A quest marker above the nameplates of creatures your active quests need; it steps aside in combat.
Map Integration
Discovery pins on the world map and minimap, several pin styles, filters per discovery type.
The world map button opens the Zone Guide and the filters; drag it anywhere or hide it.
Native waypoints, TomTom, round and square minimaps.
Character History and Statistics
Travel distance, first visits, level milestones.
Deaths and usual killers, boss kills, completed quests, experience sources.
Resources gathered, consumables used, gold earned and spent, reputation, duels.
Account-wide statistics across your characters.
Guild Sharing
Discoveries, verifications, shared notes, clickable journal links and quest knowledge shared with guild members who run the addon.
Character statistics stay private; sharing can be switched off entirely.
Languages
Forever Companion is fully translated into English, French, German, Spanish and Russian: journal pages, settings, notifications, tooltips, the Zone Guide, the autobiography and the whole lore catalog, more than 1,300 interface strings and every one of the 1,378 lore entries in each language. The addon language is independent of your game client, so a Russian client can run the addon in English and the other way round. Quest, creature and item names come from your own game client, in its language. The narrator's recordings are in English and play when the addon language is English.
