Question What if a non-telepath uses cerebro ?
To my understanding Cerebro is used to enhanced the telepathy of the user. What if not the telepath uses cerebro ? Would it like, fry the brains of the user ?

They become even more not telepathic and can sense mutants even less

Yeah, some models do block the user's eyes.

Doom is always pure class. Also, good for him for not submitting to any nation, he'll just reverse engineer the pharmaceuticals anyway.

Probably wouldn't work since you need telepathy to use it. Kind of like trying to run a car on an empty tank.

I think they haven‘t been quite consistent on that. For example in uncanny 210 Kitty alters Cerebro so non-telepaths can do searches with it, IIRC and in the recent retro Mahneto LS Magik uses it.

I really like Forge's interactions with Moon Girl. She frustrates him the same way he frustrates literally everybody else in the world, but he always treats her seriously and seems to respect her

I could have sworn non-tps have used Cerebro before, not often but I’m sure it’s happened at least once on panel.

Cerebro probably requires a telepathic signal to function, probably using something similar to a EEG in the way it reads brain waves, but must receive precise inputs a lay person wouldn't be able to emit.

Depends on whether baseline humans have a trivial amount of "telepathy" already, or if it's 0.000. If there's a small baseline level, it might be enhanced a little. Otherwise, nada.

In the main Marvel universe, yes it's people for humans to have telepathy if they achieved their "full potential".

It's kind of funny that a normal human can become more powerful than a lot of mutants by training with monks on a moon. They should do that instead of building sentinels tbh

Presumably nothing would happen. If you, a normal guy, tried to use Cerebro, you simply would be unable to turn it on.

IIRC Kitty made it so any mutant could use it. That's just before the Morlock Massacre, they were looking for Nightcrawler and Rachel

I vaguely recall an early 2000s issue I read as a kid that showed Wolverine using cerebro to search for someone on the astral plane or something. I think there weren't any psys available for the mission so Wolverine was chosen because cerebro would've fried the brain of anyone else that used it. Idk, maybe I'm remembering wrong.

They will become a Trivial Psychic, like Ed Glossar (Christopher Walken on SNL):

Best case scenario: it does nothing (not psychic powers to amplify). Worse case scenario: it makes your head pop like a grape.
