Has anyone taken this course with Micheal Cardinal Aucoin? How did you find the midterms to be? I'm finding it difficult to study for this course.

I have a few questions regarding assignment 1!

Just saw a lost cat crossing the street at Pond Rd and Sentinel Rd, coming from the direction of campus. Cat then headed towards The Quad, turning on Pizza Studio.

Cat looked young, had white fur and had a blue collar (if memory serves me right). I hope it was headed in the direction of its home, or that this post helps find the cat if it wasn't.

Hi there , I have over paid my amount due for this semester , which I’m fine with as it will go towards my next payment. I’m wondering why it still says a minimum amount due . Could this just be a timing issue as to when OSAP paid and when I paid ? And perhaps the next statement will reflect this ?

for people who have taken the course with him before, in your experience what were the questions in his midterms based on mostly? were they similar to the assignments or the textbook excercises?

a question for the students who are currently studying or have studied in York using the PISE Scholarship, how were your applications? what did you do, what did you write, what was the key factor that made you get accepted?

I’m a first year major student with concurrent education program.

Apparently if I want to become a teacher it feels like only things matter are the reference letter and if I passed all required courses or not.

And there is no reason to have high GPA for my major unless I want scholarships.

Obviously I’m a first year and I don’t know anything about university things… I just wanted to ask about this

I just graduated from uOttawa and working in downtown. At the moment, I’m renting just a room. But my family will be visiting me over the summer, so I was thinking of subletting a furnished place with 2 rooms (I don’t mind if it’s a 3 bedroom apartment/house and we have a roommate.) So, if you have a place like that and will be subletting it over the summer, I’ll be interested.

But for now, I just wanted to know how long will you be willing to sublet for? 2, 3 or 4 months.

Hey, for anyone who’s taken CMDS 1000 before, how did you study for the tests? Our prof said there’ll be 2 mini essay questions and I’m kinda lost on how to prepare 😭 Do I need to know the readings in detail or just the main ideas? Any tips would help!

Hi there! New to the uni, and tried searching this on google before, but thought that it might be best to ask in a place where people actually know the school too.

Does anyone have any recommendations on places to get a laptop looked at, and maybe fixed?

My laptop has served me well for roughly six, maybe eight years, but it's beginning to spaz out, overheat quickly, and even at times when it isn't feeling hot, it'll shut down randomly.

It's lead to a bit of progress loss, and I'm worried that I'll get in trouble if my laptop randomly shuts down during one of my online exams.

I've already deleted a bunch of useless programs I had downloaded, and even ran a check for corrupted files, and while that helped a little, it's still randomly shutting down, so I'm assuming something is wrong with the inside.

So, does anyone know a good laptop repair service, preferably inside Keele Campus, though I'm not too picky if it'll get the job done. Also, if you recommend a service, please also let me know how much it would cost? Thanks!

I just opened the midterm email sent by the professor (Raha Moosavi) for eecs1015 to double check the time and turns put we have to write code for the midterm by hand?! I’ve never done this and if anyone has tips or advice to prepare for this please share it.

I left my stuff in a locker and didn’t lock it today( my fault since ofc I should’ve locked it but who thought a uni student like you would acc go in to ur stuff and steal👀)

Anyways lost cash for abt 150 and got 2 debit cards stole and was used for retail purchase totalling for 350 bucks.

Make sure you lock those shit coz damn York does have stealers!
