She didn’t have a web and it’s getting pretty cold here, I’m gonna take her home and see if she’ll lay eggs since she looks gravid. Hopefully I can save her spiderlings.

No clue what she is, but I thought the coloring was worth a share. My phone camera isn't that great, but you get the idea.

Photographed around 1PM on Saturday, October 17.

Found this in my dad's backyard in Mexico, the state of michocan.

Had a shipment delivered to my house and this guy crawled around.

I swear this thing looked chrome-plated! Leg span was close to a 3 inch diameter circle. Seen today in upstate SC.

Just out looking for some strange…👍🏻

I was scooting this lil guy along so my dog wouldn’t eat him. He didn’t look too healthy, so I was letting him take his time, but I noticed he was walking a bit weird so I started to film..then this happened!
I see these guys quite often on my property, almost daily during this time of year, but I’ve never seen one shut down like this. What is going on here??

Bubba was safely relocated outside.

Hi everyone, just wanted to discuss this topic. A day or two ago my friendly resident bathroom spider unfortunately passed away. Unfortunately, I wont ever know what caused it, but it is still sad nonetheless, and I am hoping it was just old age.

Anyway, does anyone else mourn the losses of their spidey friends? I love all living beings and it hurts to see them pass, and I wonder if it extends to spiders with anyone else?

The spider was pretty big, on the other side there’s red coloring. I saw another one that had yellow stripes on the legs.

I've now seen a spider of this caliber outside my door twice, and with how huge it seems I'd prefer if I don't have to end up coexisting with them. If it does come to that, will they be doing me any medically significant harm? And/or are they very aggressive? Thanks

Hello all. I would appreciate help identifying this spider. I have seen a couple of these around my house and they always freak me out, they look like a particularly scary spider to me lol...

I don't mind the 'normal' looking brown furry house spiders I get, but this...

I was one foot away from it sitting down cleaning something for several minutes, so when I saw it, I was scared!

It was in my bathroom. I live in the Pacific Northwest in the US.

Gosh I can't wait for spider season to end... I see multiple a day 😅

Thank you

My mom sent this picture to me. In northwest texas.

What on earth is this thing, I'm in California this fucker is the size of a nickel or quarter, I don't even know if it is a spider

Hides in the hanging plant and runs into the web when I throw a crane fly in it.

Location: Los Angeles, California

This spider has been living in my bathroom window for about 2 months. It's name is Franklin. Today was the first day I got a really good look at it and I'm slightly concerned it's a widow of some sort. Any help on id/what I should do about it? Thanks!

Spotted while trimming diseased leaves, I have never seen anything like her! I would love to know her ID. I spotted two small funnel webs (without occupants) in the crooks of some leaves, but she was nowhere near them so idk if they were hers.

It was so big that I caught it on motion cam. It walked up very slowly and now it’s just chilling on a leaf. Is that normal for them?

These tiny guys seem to have so much personality. It's always fun to observe and photograph them :)

Most likely Salticus scenicus, but there's a slim chance that it is S. cingulatus.

~3.5x magnification, f/8, full frame, single shot. Any pointers on the photography are very welcome!

just wanted to practice drawing from imagination more
