RNG can be so silly sometimes, I wish I would’ve stopped attacking and just seen how many it was gonna go for. Anyone gotten more of the same attack in a row?

did anybody know that demonic gorillas have a one tick prayer read before they switch out out of melee Or even when you attack one from a distance?

I’ve been camping demonic gorillas for the last few years with over 13,000 kills 45 Zenyte drops, log is looking fat. But I’ve just noticed in the time that I’ve been doing this. and I’ve had a few players in game asked me how I know what they’re switching to so I’ve studied this for a while now probably over the last 5k kills, recorded some video to watch, sure enough if you watch the change in attack or when the gorilla is going to attack from any distance (new gorilla or out melee) it’s very subtle, but you can see you have a one tick window to pray the correct prayer before your hit with mage or range. studying this has allowed for me to fight for an extended amount of time so much so off task I can still average about 45-50 kills no piety only protect and preserve and 65+ with piety, protect, preserve. (lucky pot drops)

for the mage attack, the gorilla does a slight lean forward and goes back to cast the spell, for range, the gorilla does a slight twist to the left like if he’s going into his pocket to get the stone to throw at you those two subtle opportunities is the one tick you have to pray the correct prayer.

The gear has evolved over time but currently my set up is.

Masori body and chaps (F) for def

ava assembler/ fire cape

seeking amethyst arrow

emberlight avernic defender and scorching bow

ferocious gloves

i’ve made a few posts about this before on different Reddit username I have since deleted those but I figured I’d bring this back up incase anyone is interested. I may make a video to showcase it but for now this post should do. Currently, I will say that my read rate on the one tick switch is about 85% to 90% effective. I have had other players come up to me and accuse me of cheating, but I tell you honestly, that is not the case.

I have a health problem that restricts my movement in my hands and wrists - I have full movement but it's often slower and I lack some fine motor control.

Am I basically never going to be able to do any mid-high-very high level bossing that requires prayer flicking or fast gear swaps? Or high level quests that require bossing like DT2 or the recent vampire one

I try using F keys to swap between menus to minimise one hand doing most of the work, and am currently trying to do Jad, but but even ther the flicking between ranged/magic prayers and can be too fast on moderate/bad days (on a good day sure it's sometimes skill issue - but even then usually I get one go before it starts to seize up/hurt too much to try again) and that's not particularly fast compared to other stuff.

Are there any resources available that might help here?

I want to add that I also play RS3 and prefer OSRS for the most part but the action bars in RS3 are a lot more mobility-issue friendly.

I dont think i've ever navigated the tob lobby normally lol. I always fuck off straight into some wall. Guess its that big ass entrance gate that has some weird outlines sitting in the way.

I’m completely new to MMOs and only recently got into SWTOR, which has honestly hooked me way more than I expected. Before that, I tried WoW Retail, GW2 and Aion 2 but couldn’t get into any of them. I genuinely thought MMOs weren’t for me until I discovered SWTOR lol.

A few days ago I decided to try RuneScape, starting with RS3 because the graphics looked good, and I’m enjoying it so far. But the more I look into OSRS, the more I’m tempted to switch over. The community seems much bigger, the game seems to be in a really good spot, and I keep hearing that the devs actually listen to player feedback.

I know I’m asking this on the OSRS subreddit, so obviously the answers will probably be biased 😂 but I’d still love some honest opinions from people who’ve played both versions. What makes you prefer OSRS over RS3, especially if you’re a newer player? Is it the progression, the community, the updates, the gameplay, or something else entirely?

I’m looking for an MMO I can sink hundreds of hours into and still have things to work toward. I’ve also heard RuneLite plugins can make the game look a lot better and improve the overall experience, which is a big plus.

Would you recommend sticking with RS3 or starting fresh with OSRS? I’d love to hear your reasons!

Recently started playing and grabbed myself a membership, loving it so far! Some things have been a bit overwhelming/felt a little obtuse but YouTube guides have helped a lot. Some of these videos I’ve watched have mentioned setting yourself a goal to achieve.

My problem is that I just want to focus on questing, my first goal is to the quest cape but at the same time I know that’s a huge project. So my question is, what other goals should/could I set myself?
