Reminder: No Survey Questions
Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all that this subreddit is answers-based—it’s meant to provide clear, informative responses that someone could find useful while searching for answers on Google or other search engines. Lately, I’ve noticed an uptick in survey-style questions (e.g., “What’s your favorite __?” or “How many of you __?”).
These types of questions are not a good fit for the purpose of this community. They don’t create content that is useful for others to search for, and often lead to broad discussions that aren’t about providing a clear answer. As a result, I’ve been removing posts that violate this rule to maintain the quality and focus of the subreddit. Even if that post has a lot of replies as the OP obviously didn’t read the rules before posting, or cared.
If you’re unsure if your post fits, ask yourself: Would this question result in a useful answer for someone looking for a specific answer or information online? If not, it’s likely more of a survey question and violates rule 2.
Thanks for understanding and helping to keep the subreddit on track! 😊

Answered What exactly counts as a 'souvenir' when you're visiting a new country?
I'm heading somewhere new in a couple weeks and I'm trying to figure out what small things I'm actually allowed to bring back home. I keep hearing stories about people having stuff taken at the border, or things that are fine in one place but suddenly not okay somewhere else. Is there a quick way to check ahead of time, or do you just kind of go with whatever the agent says on the day? Would love to know how other people handle this without ending up throwing something out last minute.

Answered Keep trying to fix my wifi or just get a new router?
I have spent the last three evenings restarting everything, swapping cables, moving the router around the room, and even running speed tests at midnight when nobody else is online. Nothing has actually solved the random dropouts. At this point I am wondering if I am wasting time on a device that is just past its best. Is there a point where it makes more sense to buy a replacement instead of continuing to troubleshoot, or are there still some easy checks worth doing first?

Answered Anyone know what kind of bug this is that keeps landing on my window screen?
Every evening for the past week there's been this small insect that shows up right around sunset. It has a shiny green body with some kind of reddish markings on its back and it's pretty loud for its size. It doesn't seem to want to come inside, just sits on the screen and makes a buzzing sound. I tried to get a photo but it's pretty fast. Is this a kind of beetle, or something else entirely? Would appreciate any help narrowing it down.
