Just came back from seeing this film. I don't go to the movies much these days. But this one felt special. I'm not a film reviewer, so I'll just say that I absolutely loved this film. The acting, the cinematography, the dialogue, the story itself. Even the score. Probably most of us already know what Mahershala Ali brings to the table. Giancarlo Esposito shines as always. John Cho was excellent. But there's are two young actors named Jahleel Kamara and Adia (no last name), neither of which have an extensive resume, but that should be changing after this movie.

Go see it. You won't be disappointed.

A new show to check out this weekend!

Black people should vote.

But every election, we’re asked to save democracy while Black economic equality can wait.

We could start closing the gap now. Direct cash reparations, government-funded homeownership grants, capital for Black businesses, and higher taxes on accumulated wealth to pay for it. Racism is costly. Fixing it is even costlier.

White liberals…exactly how much of your own money, comfort, and privilege are you willing to sacrifice so Black people can achieve real economic equality?

Or does your so called allyship end when the bill comes due? Always choosing the comforts of White supremacy over Black liberation. So tell me again how much does your allyship cost you?

Pay back everything you stole, with interest, before telling anyone to "go back to Africa." That goes for all of Europe, including the Vatican, America, and China.

She’s currently being investigated by the local NAACP chapter and the Darien Library.

Ms. Rachel is the top comment, and she’s reaching out saying that she would love to show OOPs child the attention he deserves and invited the family to her studio. We love Ms Rachel down 🥹

And a great sandwich.........I loved how sister stood on Business

Seeing the North Carolina A&T students marching their way to vote makes me wonder that if the youth had the same energy as this in 2024 against Trump, we wouldn’t be in in this mess.

Racism has always been present in medicine and healthcare here. It’s well documented that Slaves were experimented on and almost always with no anesthesia. And of course there’s the notorious, Tuskegee Experiment, which did not end until the 70’s!

Recently, my Adult daughter experienced a life threatening medical emergency, and I can confidently say that they almost killed my daughter on two if not three separate occasions.

And I share that to say: ADVOCATE, ADVOCATE, ADVOCATE!

If you don’t fully understand what’s going on, call a friend or family member to come be with you when you talk to the doctors.

Because my daughter was in a teaching hospital which supposedly was #1 in the State, ICU was pretty much ran by Residents/Interns. And they had daily huddles outside of every patient’s room. You have the right to attend those. Ask questions, voice your concerns.

Identify those in your circle that you can call on if you need them, because if you don’t, you may end up burying your loved one. I saw way too many families in the waiting room, confused about what’s going on and they lost their loved ones…

Know your rights as a patient and make sure they don’t violate them.
