Still hard to gauge Indiana. How much should teams like NW and Nebraska be able to lean on "we played undefeated and ranked Indiana close"? Or is everyone just good? I guess we'll see it all unfold soon enough.

This IU team is an enigma. I’m glad next week is in Bloomington.

Seems closer to the 2024 team (quite good but not elite) than last year’s team.

They have more talent on paper. They just aren’t as cohesive. And Hoover isn’t Mendoza.

We do not have more talent on paper. Sarrat, Ponds, Fischer, cooper Jr. , Ej Williams. Huge losses. We are still good though!

I meant talent based on the star recruiting system, whether you buy into that.

Stars mean nothing. IU went 16-0 with a national title and big ten championship. Beat 6 ranked teams with a point differential of 24pts. ELITE

I agree… Hense my “on paper “ qualifier.

Mendoza wasn't Mendoza either. Until he became Mendoza.

...sorry just coping hard here. Please be good Josh. More 50/50 balls to Becker and Marsh. Work the back shoulder throws to death.

Mendoza had that dog in him more than Hoover, IMO

There’s something to it. It was unclear if Mendoza was that guy until later in the season. Hopefully Hoover can take similar steps and become anything close to Mendoza last year. Obviously not a guarantee, but a man can hope
