That 4th quarter against Ohio State did so much heavy lifting. Really gaslit everyone into thinking this was actually a good football team.

Obviously we’re ass too, I get that. With that being said, outside of that one quarter against Ohio State, the Texas offense has looked incredibly anemic all season long, even against the UTSA’s of the world.

Again, not trying to engage in trash talk or anything since our season is in the gutter and I have no room to talk myself, but I really don’t understand the constant “Sark offensive genius” talk by the media when time and time again it seems like the defense is what’s carrying his team, even back in the Quinn Ewers days.

Sark is a great recruiter and a good developer of offensive talent outside of QB. He's a bad playcaller and a bad QB coach. He's been like that since Washington.

Sark got so tan in Austin he's James Franklin

Kind of disagree there. His offense is more of a momentum thing and in that regard is kind of similar to Gus Malzahn even though they are very different offensive styles.

Arch is a really bad QB though for him due to the inconsistency. He really needs a QB who is more consistent that can allow more plays to occur to then build.

Also I am not sure that WR room is as good as we think it is. Wingo and Coleman have been inconsistent receivers in their career which further compounds things with an inconsistent QB.

Wingo has actually grown into a very solid player. Plus blocker, hands have gotten better, etc.

I think he could be a value in the mid rounds of the NFL draft. He is some more refined route running away from being a serious problem.

Oh my god I just got Jimbo flashbacks

He was an amazing OC at Bama, so I think he's a good play-caller. He's just not a good HC.

Also, how much of this is on him, and how much is on Arch?

Being a playcaller as a HC vs as an OC is a huge difference. Also Arch hasn't meaningfully improved and it's his 4th year under Sark. It's on both of them.

Hey buddy, you talk the trash when you have the trash. The Aggies could end Texas's season at 5-7 on Thanksgiving.

Hey that would bump us up to 5-7 as well!

I feel like Sark does a lot of great stuff as a CEO style coach, but his playcalling is pretty dog shit tbh.

That Defense is so fucking good though it can absolutely carry them somewhere, maybe the pop-tarts bowl but somewhere nonetheless

not with Simmons carried off the field 💀

Oh shit I didn’t see that, is it bad?

This is really the most damning thing, imo. For an "offensive genius" his teams look like Frank Beamer or Kirk Ferentz squads, lol.

Our game against Texas is going to set offense back decades.

They’re just like us: trash

At least in our case, any hope we had was destroyed early

What did we do to deserve that stray bruh.

Tbf the more Texas sucks the more I'm unsure how UTSA is. I'm hoping we are better and not UT sucks more otherwise that loss looks worse

Such a weird data point. Texas has the potential, but can’t play with any sort of consistency. Reminds me of my golf game, I’ll snipe a birdie, but my average is still a triple bogey.

It's Sark's offense. He still thinks he's a genius OC after the bullshit he put on the field last year and fired PK.

Thanks for bringing us back from the Herman years, but now you gotta go Sark.

1

u/Own-Lavishness4029 Texas Longhorns 5h ago

He barely outperforms Herman in win percentage and has the ability to get a team full of top talent with his budget.

5

u/wavyboizzz Texas Longhorns 7h ago

Yes for real, all this talent like Cam Coleman and just no utilization of the talent too

u/STTDB_69420 7h ago

I dread my next putt(s) after a beautiful iron shot to the green

u/NapoleonBlownapart9 Ohio State Buckeyes 7h ago

Turns out our offense is not too good against top 10 defenses (outside of smith heroics) and our defense cannot save the day every Saturday.

So did “some Ohio state university” choke completely in that 4th quarter to blow a 20 point lead? Texas hasn’t looked like a number 1 team outside of that 15 minutes
