DISCUSSION What if James Gunn brought the Justice League International “Bwa-ha-ha” era to the big screen?
What if James Gunn brought the Justice League International “Bwa-ha-ha” era to the big screen? 😂
A movie that mixes the team’s ridiculous humor with real character drama and big superhero action could be so much fun. And with rumors swirling about Mister Miracle and Big Barda, I’m already imagining how wild the team could get.
I also think Squid Game star Jung Ho-yeon could be a great Dr. Light (Kimiyo Hoshi).
We’ve already got Blue Beetle and Guy Gardner in the mix, and I really hope the Booster Gold show still happens someday.
Then we’d just need Fire and Ice—my picks would be Camila Mendes as Fire and Kristine Froseth as Ice.
I’d also love to see this team go up against Doomsday—maybe even recreate their brutal clash from the comics during the Death of superman.
Would you want to see a JLI movie with that Bwa-ha-ha energy? And who would you cast?

DISCUSSION Cyborg deserved at least a movie
They should have made a cyborg movie before justice league instead of just having him hover in the BvS movie.

DISCUSSION When did DC's downfall start?
When did dc start to fall off justice league was a bit rushed but man of steel and batman v Superman was amazing. They should have added more characters afterwards.

DISCUSSION Instead of trying to be 'True Detective', Lanterns should have taken inspiration from these classic movies. Jordan and Stewart were always buddy (space) cops in my opinion, so the tearing down of Jordan to build up John just didn't sit right with me. They are and have always been PARTNERS to me

DISCUSSION I absolutely agree with this take given how the DCU is creatively exploring different characters and genres and does not follow a structured road map of any kind.
Back in 2008 when the MCU first started, social media wasn't nearly as toxic or miserable as it is now. Social media culture today has just become so incredibly negative.

DISCUSSION Based on the look and feel of DCU Gotham that we’ve been getting from ‘Clayface’, how different do you think the DCU Batman and his movie would be compared to Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’?

DISCUSSION SOLOMON GRUNDY?
SOLOMON GRUNDY is one of the earliest villains. He has battled every Justice League and Justice Society superhero.
Should he be a villain in the next Justice League movie or have his own movie?

DISCUSSION Is there no middle ground for lanterns critism?
Like all I see on social media is its either perfect amazing master peace or the worst piece of super hero media ever created. Like there is no in between like "what i liked and what i don't like" as well mean spirited attacks attacks to each other calling the other media ilitrat or larper.
Thinking about this can apply to a lot of non batman DC projects since like man of steel.

CRITIQUE hardcore DC followers, would love more clarification on this
am I a casual? yes but there is gray area there. im not super casual. if its a DC or marvel movie im locked in for it. I keep up with a lot. that edge would have to go to marvel tho. I enjoy there story building and character building more. im just curious on why man of steele got so much hate during the release. I never understood it. even after. and it seemed like most of the hate came from hard core dc fans because everybody else loved it accept hard core followers in general it seems. so I ask why?
I saw a video on YouTube about the debate. the guy who didn't like it said Johnathan dying in that tornado was something he bought up. sorry but as a semi casual that guys take was odd and I didn't understand it at all. Johnathan dying in that tornado scene was something JOHN wanted to happen. Johnathan didn't want Clark to expose himself so he told Clark to stand down. if he didn't the news would have had his face plastered on every TV screen the same day. in the story of superman his care taker Johnathan dies eventually. they had that happen early on because well thats essentially the origin story. they had to put Johnathan dying in this movie somewhere. its a origin movie. I saw no problem with this. thats just how they decided to put in that lore accurate depiction.(not how he died just the fact that he did die is lore accurate)
then people say "they made him too dark" yea I have to be honest somebody here in this reddit has to explain that to me because I literally don't see what anybody is talking about with that. the depictions i saw is actually the opposite. thats exactly who I see superman as. was the dark part him killing zod? did people forget he didn't want to? is that not lore accurate? was that not going to happen at some point? I don't know if its canon stuff gets rebooted alot I have no idea. besides that I don't know what the issue ever was with that either. him being too dark. no clue where people got that from.
the music in this film is unmatched. I cant describe how much I love this music in this film. it fit his personality perfectly. you cant compare the first flight to the new superman 2025. the man of steele first flight is too memorable. and were seeing how great it was in real time now. the music dude..... the aura. yes I keep saying music. its really that good. "look to the stars" I play the normal version and a slowed version all the time.
I didn't think the henry version was too serious. i think he gave off the presence of a true God like alien. a caring strong alien. superman 2025 is said to be "comic book accurate" im not sure about that. but if thats close to the comics then hey not much to say on that as I unfortunately don't read the comics. I cant really remember the other points on why hard core dc fans didn't like the man of steele movie but those were the ones I could think of at the moment. after everything that has happened with DC since man of steele... bad projects, canceled projects...I think its safe to say the hate it got wasn't deserved.

APPRECIATION Thoughts on Justice League (2017)
The 2017 cut
No doubt it is a hot take but I quite enjoy it. It's like a 6.5 /10 , the CGI is awful but I think its a ok attempt of a film
No doubt it was a huge disappointment in 2017
I like it only slightly less than the Snyder Cut mainly because im not a huge fan of his vision- although I like BVS.

DISCUSSION Can we all talk about Hal Jordan suit in Lanterns TV series ?
Like don't get me wrong while I do prefer Practical Suits over CGI Suits I feel like a Green Lantern show could be somewhat exception to this rule since it is about focusing on people having a ring that can construct pretty much anything from their imagination and will power. So a constructing a suit out of their ring makes more sense to me
But again I would still prefer Practical Suits if the people behind the show wants to add it but is it just me or does this suit kind off looks meh ?
Like it does not have that glow or life that you expect to have from heroes that works at interstellar levels specifically when you are talking about Lanterns who is literally a bunch super powered individuals with vibrant color suits
But the Hal suit in Lanterns looks really dull and lifeless to be honest
