I think his most underrated lines are his desperation ult lines "Time to be a hero" and "I can turn the tide" are so good when you pull off a good comeback ult
One of my favorite's has gotta be Graves, for all of her abilities but especially her ult. They aren't trying to sound hype, they sound like she's about to die, and so using them feels much more impactful
Yeah they really don't need to. I'll be honest if they gave him just lore to make the look make sense it would be fine, he looks iconic imo. And if the people saying Yamato's kit will get a rework are right... fuck I'm gonna have trouble playing a lot again if they change it too much. Yamato's gameplay loop is my own version of what deadlock is (alongside Vin and Silver).
Her grapple's a tough thing to change because she kind of desperately needs it or she's fucked. I genuinely think changing the grapple to not work like it does would take a chunk of her WR from her solely because she only has her 1 as her main damage and people movement flying around corners and to kingdom come makes it impossible for her to catch anyone for mispositioning, and it goes especially for characters like Holiday and Celleste.
Depending on where you are it could be kind of late too this is going to be one of the only times of the few that I’m actually glad to live in cali because I can play it early
I wanted to see if in full frame IMAX, but the only one in Toronto that has it has been releasing tickets every Wednesday, and it's been constantly sold out (good seats, anyway) every time for a while. Combine that with having a few friends wanting to come and not having compatible schedules for it, it has been challenging lol

I had the same experience with watching Interstellar when it almost left theaters and everyone is upset at me because I got to experience it and they didn't. I tried to get them to come see it but they wouldn't.
Well Valve communication is different, they are honest and quite different from big corporations, they don't have that PR talk and are more free, but it also means they don't feel the need to communicate at all nor are forced to talk with their playerbase which also brings the big periods of absolute quiet in where you don't even know if devs are working on the game at all or if it's a skeleton crew balancing the game or if it's abandoned.
Yeah pretty much, has there ever been an official statement on something like tf2 development? I'm not really into the game myself but I know some fans still hold out hope that something may happen someday.
And the strange thing is that something may happen someday. Valve have done significant updates for TF2 out of nowhere before. They just seem to do whatever they want, and honestly maybe that is the way it should be for every developer. The devs at Valve produce incredibly high quality content.
I don't play Dota but I've heard that he was more talkative in the past before... something involving the community and his pet I think? But it has been a while and so working on a new game must have seemed like the optimal time to try again.
That was Icefrog back in the OG DotA days. He had posted a pic of his cat and some people flamed him for posting cat pictures instead of working on a patch.
They were talkative in the past. Very active on the old forums. Between the community and the whole thing with Riot, it's not much of a surprise they shut up publicly. Riot...kept doxxing them like a bitter ex out to ruin their life.
As far as we know, they used to / presently talk with e-sport pros for feedback. Last I heard, they reduced communication with high level Deadlock players (because leakers) but they still solicit feedback.
It's usually a good idea for Valve employees to be reserved publicly though. People put so much weight on their words. Like if a Valve HQ contracted janitor tweeted "3.", multiple new outlets would be reporting on it.
Tbf Deadlock's fanbase, while far from perfect, has been pretty respectful and appreciative of the dev team; Dota 2 on the other hand is home to some of the most annoying, vitriolic and toxic bastards you can find
It's mind boggling how bad Blizzard in particular is at communication and how fucking slow they are to balance anything. They let goats ruin Overwatch 1 and now they're letting jetpack cat chill with 55%+ winrate for months and don't do shit. Yoshi is faster at picking apart bullshit within weekends on a closed beta/alpha of a game than Blizzard is on their cash cow.
Thankfully I work overnight and I even swapped shifts so I worked tonight (originally off tonight) so that I can get off work in the morning and just deadlock game all dayy
