To be fair it is probably stolen from Fairfax Industries. Pocket's animations look like the Jacket is puppeting them.

It's just a generally expensive jacket. In canon it's from a fashion designer called Kelsey Evans, and that line is mentioned by various members of the more affluent cast. It's an "oh you've got MONEY money" jacket that only the very wealthy would even be able to recognize at a glance

It's less that the jacket is supernatural (though it obviously is) and more a giveaway to the rich that Pocket is not the homeless shmuck they're masquerading as.
