Is Magical Artist not an instantly graspable urban-supernatural character fantasy?

It's certainly more mundane than the Rat King, the Baba Yaga or the undead Crash Test Pilot, but it's in the same ballpark as a psychic chess hustler or a sinister nurse.

i think her not being obviously magical is a big part of it. like the sinister nurse has a glowing evil eye on her bag, she is very definitely in the occult. magical artist kinda just looks like an artist.

yeah but when all you have to go off is just the key art people are going to make their decision off of first impressions alone. when shes actually in the game youll get far fewer people complaining that shes too plain and uninteresting

Yeah, something similar with Paige (at least for me).

I'm also wasn't that impressed with Solomon's poster until I saw his leaked 3D model, and that alone greatly improved my opinion towards him.
