The exact same rule applies since the mod teams in r/travel overlap here in r/flights. Just the Rule Number is different.

Small addendum: we tend to temporarily allow some AI-formatted posts asking for help for a few hours (depending on if a mod gets to it or if I'm asleep or on a plane) for someone from the community to respond with the answer before removing it in case someone does actually need urgent help. Ultimately the post will be removed though.

This is the small difference between r/travel and r/flights as this is more of a helpdesk-style subreddit.

We don't want to deny anyone the help they need even if they use AI to write the post but we will not let it remain in the main feed.

the community is the fastest way to help keep the subreddit AI-slop-free - please use the Report button - don't just comment "AI Slop!!!" and expect us to see it!

Are we discouraged from doing both? Reporting and the public call-out of a poster's opinion.

You can do both. Feel free to call out the OP and keep using that Report button!

Please just be careful. I've been accused of being AI before. Obviously I'm not.
