Resource Free browser tool for practicing scales, chords & progressions with theory notes right next to it (feedback welcome

I play guitar by ear and wanted a simple place where I could see scales/modes, play progressions, look up chords, and have the theory explanations right there without switching tabs.

So I built TonusLab: open it in the browser, pick an instrument (guitar, bass, ukulele, piano) and key, and practice. Includes circle of fifths, chord diagrams, tuner, voice monitor, and 29 theory chapters from beginner to more advanced topics.

Completely free, no accounts, no install, no streaks.

https://tonuslab.app/en

Built it for myself and left it open in case it’s useful. Any feedback is very welcome.

Hello everyone I’m wondering what YouTube videos, websites or apps that will help me improve as this is my first every guitar and first instrument that I’m actually wanting to learn. I’m on day one and I started learning Seven nation army, and currently it sounding like I know the notes, just gotta clean up my tempo and not accidentally hitting the E string and focus only on A string. I would love any tips and suggestions that will make me better in the long run aswell.

Lesson How To Switch Chords While Strumming (No Stopping)

Hi! If you have trouble switching chords and strumming at the same time, you're not alone. It's probably the most common hurdle for players new to strumming.

The way most guitarists get through this problem is by releasing the hand just a bit early. On the last upstroke of a pattern, right before the chord change, we usually let go of chord 1 and actually strum the open strings to keep time while we change. Typically this is so fast and so subtle that your ear won't even notice it.

This doesn't get taught or talked about a lot, and I think it's because a lot of players eventually do this without even thinking about it.

That said, it can be hard to make yourself do this if you're not used to it. It's a lot of coordination. So I usually give my students a simple exercise to practice it: we play the downstroke of chord 1, the upstroke where we release, and then the downstroke of chord 2.

The attached video is a quick 3 minute lesson where you can see this in action, along with some of the details I think are worth looking out for.

Happy practicing!

Lesson I wanna learn guitar but I literally know NOTHING about guitars rn

I wanna learn guitar but I literally know NOTHING about guitars rn lol. I'm planning to teach myself through YouTube and practise at home. my budget is only ₹1k–₹1.5k because I'm just starting out and don't even know if I'll be good at it yet ....Can you guys suggest a decent beginner guitar within this budget? Should I buy a cheap new one or look for a second-hand guitar? Also, what should I look for when buying my first guitar? I don't want to buy something that makes learning harder.Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!.
