He grew close to the kids in no time due to being around them, and only them, constantly. The first was a boy named Theodore Nott, a girl named Sophia Malfoy, a bushy haired girl named Hermione Granger, a redhead girl named Ginny Weasley, and a brown haired boy named Neville Longbottom.

Harry quickly learned that magic was real as a tutor would come in and instruct them for several hours a day.

This went on until he was twelve, the facility they had been kept at attacked, Harry and his group making a bid to escape.

They spent the next two years constantly moving, stealing to survive and living in tents.

Then, on his fifteenth birthday, after the Avengers saved New York from an alien invasion, the group decided to start posing as a 'mutant' group, taking small jobs for pay, Harry growing close with both Sophia and Ginny.

None of them they were about to be on the radar of three massive groups

"You two did fucking what?" Voldemort asked, spoon still frozen from where he'd been stirring his tea.

"Was the point of the raid not to express our anger and rage like you said, my Lord?" Bellatrix asked in confusion as she and Lucius looked at each other.

Voldemort banged his head against the table in frustration

"You." Snape said, pointing at Lupin "Did you break this?"

"Don't look at me, look at her!" Lupin said, pointing at Sprout

"What? I didn't break it!"

"Huh, that's weird how did you know it was broken?"

"Because it's sitting in front of us and it's broken?!"

"Suspicious!"

"No it's not!"

Filch spoke up "Not that it matters, probably not, but Hooch was the last to use it."

Hooch rounded on him "Liar, I don't even drink that crap!"

"Then what were you doing by the coffee pot earlier!?"

"I force the students who mess around in class to clean the trash the toothpicks, everyone knows that!"

"Ok, let's not fight, I broke it, let me pay for it Severus." McGonagall said as Snape shook his head "No, who broke it?."

Trelwaney whispered to Snape "Severus, Dumbledore had been awfully quiet."

Dumbledore turned to her furious"Oh, really?!"

"Yeah, really." She said as the room broke into arguments.

Snape walked out, chuckling deeply to himself. He had broken the pot, he scalded his hand and threw it against the wall in anger

"Any second now they're start getting physical." He muttered

The next second Flitwick was flung through the door, Hagrid storming out, picking him up and smashing him through a table before throwing him out the window as spells flew from the break room

"Good, people were being far to nice to each other lately."" Snape smirked

I’m looking to write a fic that starts when Snape is a fifth year and I’m wondering how to go about it. I’ve always imagined that he was a petty person and a loner but his worse attributes that we see during the main series is because of trauma events like Lily dying and him knowing how he played a hand in it. What does everyone else think he would be like as a teen?

I’d like a fan fic that takes place before fifth year where hasty actually knows what he’s doing at his trial or at least pretends to know what he’s doing.

It can have time travel, no time travel, dumbledore bashing, or no dumbledore bashing. I’m pretty child but it’s hard to search for trial fics specifically.

One of my favourite fics is Son of Suns by blank101, a Star Wars trilogy where Luke is captured after Bespin and the Emperor turns him. Prince of Ashes started from a similar idea: what if Voldemort had kept Harry after the graveyard? It follows the Prince, the weapon the regime spent years building, and Hermione, the one person who never accepted that Harry was gone. It's a smaller, more personal story than the trilogy. The story is told mostly from Harry's, Hermione's and Ron's points of view.

Furious ,Tom become obsessed by ending the blood purist hold on wizarding england and their blood apartheid .With the help of his school friends ,he forms a terrorist cell to enforce muggleborns and half-blood rights .

The war take a decade,but the decadent Ministry slowly fold ,even pushing a desperate dumbledore to make his own counter-terrorist group.Riddle even receive Elixir of life from the secretly sympathetic Nicholas Flamel .

But Snape arrive with a disastrous prophecy .Of a boy ,who shall be able to rival him,and grow up with the potential and the desire to destroy the muggles thanks to an engineered nuclear war ,and who can only fall from from his hand . Seeing the boy as too dangerous to be allowed to live ,Riddle immediately does his utmost to find the scourge house .

Thanks to Pettigrew ,that ends up being trivial.Riddle bust down the door of Godric Hollow ,kill James Potter ,stun Lily as Snape had asked and sling a killing curse at Potter ...only for the curse to rebound and only escaping death (becoming a wraith instead)thanks to the elixir of life ,while Lily die due to the explosion .

Peter Pettigrew, the absolute bastard that he is, is so criminally under loved in the HP community.

So, I’m looking for some fics that make him the main focus. Preferably canon compliant, but it doesn’t haaaave to be. So long as he’s his little imperfect self then I’m happy to read it :)

What are some inventions or technological advances that leading Muggle scientists or experts in their field could bring to life if they were some random muggleborn in Harry’s year?

This is a pretty common trope over the years, but I haven’t seen it much lately and was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Here’s a few examples I have seen or would like to see:

A Network engineer could setup a phone like experience with mirrors that allow to call specific mirrors, rather than needing a different pair with each contact.

Hoverboards could be much cooler than brooms.

Go Pro experience with a Snitch-like device that flies around the wearer, could have made the Triwizard Tasks a much more immersive experience for the spectators.

Can anyone think of similar ideas? Ideally something that could be accomplished or at least prototyped by a single person in less than a decade?

hi everyone! i’m trying to get into the marauders era, but i'm super lost on what to read and could really use some recs.

basically, i'm looking for something that feels very close to the original harry potter books in terms of writing style and general vibe, just set in their school years.

i've heard so much about all the young dudes (and as a massive david bowie fan, the 70s rock aesthetic really calls to me), but i'm kind of hesitant because i've read it gets really heavy/depressing and that the characters feel a bit out-of-character (especially remus). i prefer characters to stay as close to canon as possible

i personally love sirius, he’s got that rebellious, cynical, rock-and-roll edge. if any fic captures that (or mentions bowie/70s music organically) without totally breaking canon, that's a huge plus. wolfstar is totally fine by me too, not a strict requirement, but i don't mind it.

also, has anyone read pengiwen’s marauders series (the one that goes year by year)? are they actually worth the massive time investment?

Hermione had traveled back in time (unsure how) and was reborn as the 4th Black sister. I remember there being a betrothal contact with Sirius and I think it ends up as a triad with him and Remus.

Harry drinks liquid luck and tries to apperate to the the death eaters main compound and ends up in Malfoy manor where he causes all sorts of havoc before he is sent out of a window and onto the laws of Buckingham palace. The queen's guards apprehend him and after the situation is explained (the guards all knew of magic beforehand) they raid the Malfoy manor and take out a large number of death eaters and Voldemort is captured. The queen is absolutely livid over this and uses a hidden clause in the Magna Carta to take control over the wizarding half of the UK. Harry meanwhile ends up stuck inside a suit of Armor during all this and can't figure out how to get out of it.
