I'm working on a Harry Potter work that features Darcenea Malfoy, inspired by the memes and the what ifs of a female Malfoy.

I am now working on the work with the following premise:

If Harry Potter attended Hogwarts with a female Malfoy who falls in love with him over the years, and keep it to the key canon plots, with changes to make things logical. Additionally, we have Harry and Hermione relationship maintain its course and as Rowling said, they would make a logical couple.

So yes, it's a story that covers the growth of three relationships; and not end with a harem.

So therefore, I have split it to three relationship sections: Harry/Darcenea , Harry/Hermione, and Darcenea/Hermione (in respect to each other, not romantically).

I have already done up Harry/Darcenea to Year 6, and would like some fan's feedback on the story, and debate on the logics.

I don't think redditors appreciate all of text so I won't post it here. So, perhaps I can post a google docs link, or maybe a AO3 link for those interested. Would love to get your feedback and reviews!

To those of you who hate it, what would need to happen in a fic in order for it to sway you? Is it enough if fem!Draco stops being a bitch and apologises to people, and starts doing good things? Or would she need to be a completely different character?

In a fic I’m thinking of writing, she slowly comes around on blood purity politics, although she keeps disliking muggles and still takes great pride in her ancestry. She ends up apologising to everyone, and saves the lives of Harry and others on numerous occassions. Nevertheless, she still has some arrogance, she’s still very ambitious and cunning, and she can still be a judgemental dick at times

What are some inventions or technological advances that leading Muggle scientists or experts in their field could bring to life if they were some random muggleborn in Harry’s year?

This is a pretty common trope over the years, but I haven’t seen it much lately and was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Here’s a few examples I have seen or would like to see:

A Network engineer could setup a phone like experience with mirrors that allow to call specific mirrors, rather than needing a different pair with each contact.

Hoverboards could be much cooler than brooms.

Go Pro experience with a Snitch-like device that flies around the wearer, could have made the Triwizard Tasks a much more immersive experience for the spectators.

Can anyone think of similar ideas? Ideally something that could be accomplished or at least prototyped by a single person in less than a decade?

It might just be me that doesn't know where to look or there is nothing to look for. I'm hoping that you have any fic recs of harry potter and hunger games crossover? pretty please.

I finished my first fiction. All six chapters are out now, I'd be really grateful for any feedback. I worked really hard on it and had a lot of fun which is the main thing.

I want to know the fics that got you shipping the most unexpected characters together and why? Im trying to broaden my horizons and what better way to do that then reddit.

Despite that ,Riddle accept the invitation to Hogwarts ,ending up a model student in Slytherin.Being charismatic and talented ,he manage to crush his wannabee bullies and over the year cultivate a small group of friends and even convincing them of blood purism foolishness .He even gets a reward for finding the Heir of Slytherin ,Hagrid ,whose acromentula murdered Myrtle Warren . But even his excellent grades do not open him the door of the Ministry .

The jobs are reserved for purebloods ,with half-bloods or those of lower purity never hired .He end up with no choice than borgins and burke ,simmering in bitterness at his wasted potential ,before deciding to hone his craft and try again ,when his mastery shall be obvious .

But Dumbledore ,having became Headmaster ,refuse him the job of DADA teacher despite him having gone above and beyond the stated requirements ,only to engage a pureblood moron whose father backed Dumbledore ascension to supreme mugwump .

The war take a decade,but the decadent Ministry slowly fold ,even pushing a desperate dumbledore to make his own counter-terrorist group.Riddle even receive Elixir of life from the secretly sympathetic Nicholas Flamel .

But Snape arrive with a disastrous prophecy .Of a boy ,who shall be able to rival him,and grow up with the potential and the desire to destroy the muggles thanks to an engineered nuclear war ,and who can only fall from from his hand . Seeing the boy as too dangerous to be allowed to live ,Riddle immediately does his utmost to find the scourge house .

Thanks to Pettigrew ,that ends up being trivial.Riddle bust down the door of Godric Hollow ,kill James Potter ,stun Lily as Snape had asked and sling a killing curse at Potter ...only for the curse to rebound and only escaping death (becoming a wraith instead)thanks to the elixir of life ,while Lily die due to the explosion .

I’d like a fan fic that takes place before fifth year where hasty actually knows what he’s doing at his trial or at least pretends to know what he’s doing.

It can have time travel, no time travel, dumbledore bashing, or no dumbledore bashing. I’m pretty child but it’s hard to search for trial fics specifically.

I recently found a fic on Ao3 with this primise and it interested me enough i wanna read more fics like it.

One of my favourite fics is Son of Suns by blank101, a Star Wars trilogy where Luke is captured after Bespin and the Emperor turns him. Prince of Ashes started from a similar idea: what if Voldemort had kept Harry after the graveyard? It follows the Prince, the weapon the regime spent years building, and Hermione, the one person who never accepted that Harry was gone. It's a smaller, more personal story than the trilogy. The story is told mostly from Harry's, Hermione's and Ron's points of view.

Basically what the title says. I read a couple on AO3 by this author named ‘newscotlandyard’ (Playing House; Amongst Other Things), beautiful writing,both either in progress or sadly abandoned.

What I’m looking for is a post-war story where Harry and fem!Draco are put together by virtue of circumstances and it is enemies-to-lovers angst. No content restrictions. Thanks in advance!

I’m looking to write a fic that starts when Snape is a fifth year and I’m wondering how to go about it. I’ve always imagined that he was a petty person and a loner but his worse attributes that we see during the main series is because of trauma events like Lily dying and him knowing how he played a hand in it. What does everyone else think he would be like as a teen?

No SI’s into anyone under 18 period. They also must be able to make a large impact on the story as a whole. No SI’s into characters like Remus, since such characters are limited due to the affliction, and biased laws surrounding them. Apart from that, what have you got?

Anyone have any recommendations to read fics from this trope? I’ve read a few like Dear Voldie on ao3 but I’d love some more if anyone has any recs!!!
