❓ Advice Needed Order of products to treat freshly bleached hair?
Hiii i just bleached my bangs yesterday, and i would love some tips on which products to use/in what order to use them, before i bleach it again tomorrow! So far, I’ve done 2 rounds of bleach yesterday with Ion crème lightener & 20v developer 1:1 ratio, and it looks to be a Level 7 or 8 right now. I want to achieve Level 9 by bleaching 1 more round, then tone it with T14 Wella toner, and then semi-permanent dye. Also I bleached over virgin black asian hair. My hair feels really dry and there’s some breakage, but no gumminess so far.
Right now i have Ion Colour Sealer Step 2, Aphogee 2-Step Protein Treatment, a Sauce Guacamole hair mask & some regular conditioner. I was wondering which order would be best to put these products in, before i bleach it again. Thanks so much!!!

❓ Advice Needed Do I bleach it?
I’ve been to a hairdresser for the past 4 months and we’ve done a couple of bleaching sessions, yet every time I leave the salon it looks like this.
I’m thinking of fixing it myself with box dye since she can’t seem to fix it.
Do I use bleach or tone for the dark parts to match the top of my head? I genuinely need help, as my local hairdressers can’t seem to advise me on this.

❓ Advice Needed dying hennaed hair or rather bleaching it i guess
ok so I have naturally jet black hair that I already applied henna to 3 times and its fair to say the dye has stuck and it only ever shows up if light is passing through my hair... now im interested in having hair thats lighter than my jet black. I'm hoping for a really dark reddish brown basically the way it would look if brown hair was hennaed as opposed to black hair with henna. Im wonder if i can actually lighten by hair to achieve this color by just slightly lightening my hair and building over it with henna. The henna I used is natural so I doubt there are added metallic salts in there but I'll do a strand test to be safe... is my goal possible? and what should i use to lighten it... any alternatives?
Guys im sorry im dumb; I spelled dyeing wrong
edit: thx for the responses guys. i will not be bleaching my hair.

❓ Advice Needed how do i do a second round of bleach at home when also dealing with roots regrowth?
i’m around a natural level 6 and i bleached my whole head at home around 8 weeks ago. it lifted to a mostly even yellowy blonde (somewhere around a bleached level 7-8). i want my hair to be ideally an even level 10 so knew i would have to do a second round of bleach on my entire head at some point. i didn’t want to damage it too much by bleaching it again in the same day, so i decided to wait and let my hair recover.
some sources say to wait up to 6 weeks before a second round, others up to 10 weeks. i take my hair health quite seriously so i decided to wait 8 weeks.
it has now been almost 8 weeks and i’m going to do the second round of bleach soon. only now my roots are obviously quite grown out.
how am i supposed to go about the second round with now 8 weeks of regrowth to deal with also?
there’s the roots-banding issue and i’m also a bit nervous about doing a second round in general, especially on the bits that are already bleached, so any tips on how to do it properly without damaging the hair too much would also be much appreciated.
(not sure if any of this is relevant but thought i might as well put it anyway):
• i take good care of my hair and it is still quite healthy after bleaching the first time.
• my hair strands are on the finer side but my hair in general is thick in the sense that i have a lot of it.
• the products i’m using are wella multi-blonde powder lightener with wellexon perfect 6% 20 vol toner.

❓ Advice Needed bleaching dyed hair
pretty straightforward. i've box dyed and bleached my hair for the last 6 years roughly, various colours and time periods. i'm honestly surprised i haven't gone bald. lately i've been losing considerable amounts of strands while showering, but figure it's not abnormal as i have quite thick, curly hair.
my hair is currently fading, semi-perm split dyed darkest brown and a pinkish red. the last time i bleached my hair was the front section in about late july. i'm hoping to go blonde by halloween for my classic harley quinn costume. originally the split dye was the less harmful way to be on theme for comic con, but i'm also sick of my hair rn.
should i do it? will i go bald and die? if i use a good olaplex or k18 conditioner after will it be fine? please let me know. (i would use a colour remover a few days before if i did, also.)

❓ Advice Needed Lightening/lifting black dye
Hi so I had the worst hair experience today. This guy said he'd do his best to color match my ends (grown out and faded red dye) to my natural color and he literally just slapped black hair dye on it and I couldn't tell until he dried my hair... I really need advice on how to lighten my hair with damaging it or just as little damage as possible. I just really hate the black on me please help!

❓ Advice Needed How to make newly bleached roots lighter?
I got my hair bleached white in China a while back.
But now I’m back in Germany, which is a hellish place for hair dressers generally. But I had to get my roots done, they were white at first but now after 2 weeks they are yellow-ish.
(Image 1 Shows the yellow tint, Image 2 is how it looked when the Chinese did it: crispy white)
I use purple shampoo once a week which is how I kept my Chinese bleached hair white the entire time but it doesn’t work here. I am not sure if they just don’t have good enough bleach products or if it’s something else.
sooo, does anyone have any tips on how I can get the roots as white as the rest of my hair? Cause the difference is making me mad Everytime I look in the mirror 😅

❓ Advice Needed Best semi permanent deep red hair dye?
Not really a whole bunch to say here. I’m dyeing my hair red pretty soon and I’d like to make the right choice in dye.

❓ Advice Needed What color should I do?
I would absolutely LOVE to do some kind of vivid color but I’m not sure what color would be best since I don’t want to damage my curls too much, especially the new growth. My roots are a level 2-3 and my ends are around a level 6.
I’ve done red (dark cherry colors and bright), aqua blue, pink (pastel and hot pink), purple, orange, and a failed attempt at neon green in the past lol.
🧴 Product Question How do I make this come to life?
Here is my natural hair right now and what I want it to become, I don’t want it to be permanent. I’d like it to eventually wash out and have my natural hair color and highlights back. Any recommendations on products?
Included a pic of my hair in some sunlight so you can get a better picture!

❓ Advice Needed Could my hair not take color due to years of hard water build up?
I sincerely don't know what else it could be at this point. I have been dying my hair on and off since \~2019 and it always worked perfectly fine until \~2022. I have no other explanation for why. It doesnt matter how deeply I shampoo, it doesnt matter how many times I wash my hair, doesnt matter formula, even professional permanent hair dye doesnt work. Splat, notorious for leaving people's hair extremely damaged and not leaving the hair once dyed washed out recently within the same week I used it. Splat used to be one of my go-tos and worked really well. Nothing I try works. I went to beauty stores to get professional toner and developers and all that jazz and it still did nothing.
For context, my hair is very light, almost platinum blonde in the summer and doesnt ever get very dark without sunlight either, so ive never bleached my hair. At some point I thought this might have been the reason nothing was working, but im pretty sure developer does whatever bleach does in that it strips a layer off the folical to be more easily penetrable to the hair. Also I feel like using the exact same product that used to hold should be able to hold the same.
Regardless of whether my hair had been dyed prior doesnt seem to matter either. Like I added earlier I recently dyed my hair dark purple with splat and it washed out within a week of being dyed.
Im really fucking tired of wasting so much money to be disappointed and I cant come up with any other answer as to why my hair cant hold color anymore. Im so broken over it. Dying my hair is a huge part of my self expression and not being able to do it is really devastating.
If you know anything or have any answers please please please tell me. Thank you in advance.

❓ Advice Needed Dying Eyebrows Cream
I’m sure there are hundreds of videos on this, but I’d rather ask and hopefully get some advice directly. How hard would it be to dye eyebrows a cream color? Cream is my favorite color so I want to try and see if it’s possible. How would I go about it? Any specifics I should worry about? How long do dyed eyebrows last on average?

🖼️ Before & After First color correction attempt
My sister had the best idea to try balayage on herself a couple of months ago and it went as well as you’d expect lol. On the bottom half it wasn’t so bad, but things happened near the roots. She grew it out for a couple of months and today i attempted to fix it. I’ve dyed people’s hair and my own a few times, but I’m by no means a hairdresser! I’d never done anything balayage like.
I didn’t tone afterwards because I forgot to bring those supplies so everything leans a bit more yellow still. I’m happy with the result, it looks better in person. She’s very happy, that’s the most important part!
Color & method:
- wanted to get Wella colourtouch 8/71 but they didn’t have it so I improvised and grabbed 8/0 and 8/73
- sectioned the hair
- mixed those in equal parts with 6vol
- applied the color as low lights from roots over the bright blonde mid section, weaving it and blending into the mids/lengths (cut tin foil into strips)
- teased the ends
- applied bleach with 20vol to the ends , blending upwards with fingers
- normally would’ve toned here but forgot to bring it
- trimmed the hair after washing

❓ Advice Needed Dyed my hair pink - what to do now to improve it?
Kind of an update to my last post in this sub, i used manic panic “cotton candy pink” diluted with conditioner to dye my hair. The initial color is great and exactly what i wanted, but large parts of my hair seems to not have picked up the dye as well, leaving it quite uneven - some people told my part of my hair would turn out more peachy which i honestly don’t really mind, but instead it’s just lighter than the rest.
Would it improve the evenness of the color if i let the pink totally fade out so my initial base is the exact same tone and then dye it again⁉️ Cause so far thats my plan

❓ Advice Needed Can I bleach my hair again?
So I bleach my hair a few years ago to a nice level 9-10 from my natural level 5-6, I didn’t experience any major changes or damage in my hair but I ended up using two different brands of brown permanent box dye to go back to my natural colour this was over a year ago and now in present day the mids and ends of my hair are a level 6-7 and have temporary red dye over (crazy colour vermilion red if that helps) what’s the likely good of me maintaining a decent amount of my hair health if I where to go back to that level 9-10 blonde?
