I used to get my hair professionally dyed yearly but in the last 2 years i’ve only done a full head of box dye. I used to have blonde highlights but the box dye ofc covered them. I want to try touching up my roots/lightening up my hair overall and redoing the blonde highlights myself. How can i achieve this?
Slightly interested in a color change if that wouldn’t be too harsh with the highlights , any suggestions?🙏🏾

Do you think this brown would cover the colors, or should I do a darker one?
I am trying to avoid bleaching it or using color remover, and Im too impatient to let it fade more.

Hey guys, yesterday I box dyed my hair for the first time (have always gone to the salon previously). Everything went smoothly but the finishing colour was just not what it looked like on the box, and def not the tone I usually get. Normally I go for a very dark, orange-leaning auburn (1st picture) and the box looked exactly like it, but the end result ended VERY cherry/bordeux toned (like the second picture). which I’m really not a fan of lol
So my question is, should I do another box dye (I’m guessing a light to medium brown) to get to the oranger tone, or should I do something else? I don’t know if it’s a good idea since I don’t wanna damage the hair any further with more developer, and I don’t think it needs it since it’s just a hue change (zero need to lighten it), but I don’t know if there’s an at home alternative that doesn’t involve developer, all semipermanent dyes I’m looking into come with developer in the kit

Hiii i just bleached my bangs yesterday, and i would love some tips on which products to use/in what order to use them, before i bleach it again tomorrow! So far, I’ve done 2 rounds of bleach yesterday with Ion crème lightener & 20v developer 1:1 ratio, and it looks to be a Level 7 or 8 right now. I want to achieve Level 9 by bleaching 1 more round, then tone it with T14 Wella toner, and then semi-permanent dye. Also I bleached over virgin black asian hair. My hair feels really dry and there’s some breakage, but no gumminess so far.
Right now i have Ion Colour Sealer Step 2, Aphogee 2-Step Protein Treatment, a Sauce Guacamole hair mask & some regular conditioner. I was wondering which order would be best to put these products in, before i bleach it again. Thanks so much!!!

going on the long, tedious journey of removing black box dye. i was hoping to (one day) get this sucker to at least an 8-9 but i know it would take lots of technique, time and tears.
im fully down to go on that journey but im wondering if maybe for now i should just use a fashion color. only thing is im worried about the dye making it harder to lighten in the future. i also would want a color that would keep the contrast next to my dark hair- maybe a blood red?

I mean real dark, still wet with the purple undertones. (Best reference I could get.)

Hello everyone. My daughter wanter her hair tk be dyed blue. since he has dark hair I cut down her hair tips with a bleach which I left on for 10ish minutes because I was scared to leave then I applied the blue hair color/dye. After washing the color, its still ashy/orangy as if blue was never applied. What do I do at this point.

Does head and shoulders actually help remove/fade permanent hair dye?

i’m trying to dye my hair brown (using adore 110 which is a very dark brown). I just bleached my hair but the blue didn’t come out and I don’t think my hair can handle another round. If i just go ahead with the brown will the blue areas look weird? Could i use an orange dye to cancel it out? If so what shade, i’m terrible at color theory.

ok so I have naturally jet black hair that I already applied henna to 3 times and its fair to say the dye has stuck and it only ever shows up if light is passing through my hair... now im interested in having hair thats lighter than my jet black. I'm hoping for a really dark reddish brown basically the way it would look if brown hair was hennaed as opposed to black hair with henna. Im wonder if i can actually lighten by hair to achieve this color by just slightly lightening my hair and building over it with henna. The henna I used is natural so I doubt there are added metallic salts in there but I'll do a strand test to be safe... is my goal possible? and what should i use to lighten it... any alternatives?
Guys im sorry im dumb; I spelled dyeing wrong

so last time i dyed my hair i lightly rebleached the parts i had bleached that had faded and then bleached the roots, then put toner on, and then dyed the bleached parts semi permanent pink. the pink faded out extremely fast and now the hair is yellow, if i put toner on the hair and don’t put bleach back over it will the toner actuallt do anything or does it have to be right after bleach?

Hi so I had the worst hair experience today. This guy said he'd do his best to color match my ends (grown out and faded red dye) to my natural color and he literally just slapped black hair dye on it and I couldn't tell until he dried my hair... I really need advice on how to lighten my hair with damaging it or just as little damage as possible. I just really hate the black on me please help!

Hello all! I desperately need help with getting Arctic Fox (colors Wrath + Ritual) out of my hair. Last time I did it was literally a year ago and it’s still lingering, I’m hoping there’s a solution to get the rest out completely. Hopefully without frying my hair.
My natural hair is like a dirty blonde! If something lightens my hair a bit that’s fine by me I really just want the red out.

I had my hair dyed pink (mostly on the ends) and then I went over it with a regular brown dye and then I went in again to get it dyed again and she used a red undertone along with a dark brown to color my hair which is not really what I wanted, My hair naturally is a kind of ashy caramel brown I would say and I just want to kind of cancel out some of the warmth to get a more even grow out as I don’t plan on continuing to dye it this color. I was thinking about trying maybe a hair gloss. Any tips on what I should do?

I got my hair bleached white in China a while back.
But now I’m back in Germany, which is a hellish place for hair dressers generally. But I had to get my roots done, they were white at first but now after 2 weeks they are yellow-ish.
(Image 1 Shows the yellow tint, Image 2 is how it looked when the Chinese did it: crispy white)
I use purple shampoo once a week which is how I kept my Chinese bleached hair white the entire time but it doesn’t work here. I am not sure if they just don’t have good enough bleach products or if it’s something else.
sooo, does anyone have any tips on how I can get the roots as white as the rest of my hair? Cause the difference is making me mad Everytime I look in the mirror 😅

I eagerly need help and advice. I dyed my virgin brown hair black using the l’oréal casting crème gloss hair dye black dye, and I am very dissatisfied with the results i feel like its very stark and I really want my old hair back. I’ve done some research on whether or not my hair could return to its original color after a few washes and it says that it won’t but it would just fade is this true or not because I really just want my old hair back. you can’t really see in the picture but my natural hair is a light brown at the ends now it’s really dark black. please help a girl out 🙁

I have a mild hair dye allergy. When dying my hair the skin will develop a rash for a few days. Any tips on dying hair when a bit allergic?
My hair is currently not dyed. It is light brown but it’s gone grey at the front (though it’s not a very grey grey if that makes sense. Kind of looks blonde in indoor lighting). I want to dye it blonde which was my natural hair colour when I was young.

I box dyed my hair black beginning of the year, and i wanted to dye my hair a different color so i got color remover bc its black box dye. I wanted to go a purple so i got true violet and magenta in loreal hicolor.
Anyways my hair is all screwed up. I need advice. Should i just go to a salon at this point or is it fixable and how?
Thank you

Hi everyone 👋
I'm a new hair dye user and I have some questions
Just for context : my natural hair is dark blonde , dyed black for 10+ years (my aunt used to dye my hair , she was a hairdresser)
I had to start doing it myself, i'm using the same products (L'Oreal majirel n°1)
I've been debating switching to Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 1-1 since I saw videos on TikTok about it
But , I also wanted to maybe add some purple to the mix, to achieve a almost black purple (don't know what's up with me these days 😂)
My question is ! Can I mix Igora Royal with a purple from that same line , I believe 1-1 is a blue base black , and purple fades in red
What's your take on this ? Bad idea ?
Thanks for reading me ! And have a good day 🙂

I would absolutely LOVE to do some kind of vivid color but I’m not sure what color would be best since I don’t want to damage my curls too much, especially the new growth. My roots are a level 2-3 and my ends are around a level 6.
I’ve done red (dark cherry colors and bright), aqua blue, pink (pastel and hot pink), purple, orange, and a failed attempt at neon green in the past lol.
Here is my natural hair right now and what I want it to become, I don’t want it to be permanent. I’d like it to eventually wash out and have my natural hair color and highlights back. Any recommendations on products?
Included a pic of my hair in some sunlight so you can get a better picture!
