🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Keratin Treatment Gone Wrong than 24 hours

Hello yesterday I got a keratin treatment. It hadn’t been 5 hours and my hair was puffy when I took my daughter to the zoo about 3 hours later. Now I do admit I went out that night I did sweat a little. This was my hair this morning and this the turtle neck is now. I called the salon, they were nice and said come Saturday and they will do the whole treatment again. My question is that good for my hair to get treatment so soon? Is the keratin ruined? Why on earth did it puff up so much? It’s not like I went exercising. I was wearing braids for years and I got tired of it. I have never been able t keep a silk press at all, I thought keratin would work. I paid $400. I’m not blaming the stylist, she was great. Just asking if it’s safe to get again so soon? And maybe answers if this happened to anyone before. My hair is 4C VERY THICK AND LOTS OF SHRINKAGE. 1st pic is while blowout. 2nd is done still at shop, o got my ends clipped, and the last pics in turtle neck were taken a sec ago. Any advice on what I should do? TIA

I’ve a receding hairline and very bad hairfall problems, damaged also I’ve tried a lot of shampoos and home remedies but still Every time I wash my hair, the clump in the drain gets bigger. It’s starting to really mess with my head. I know stress and water quality play a part, but I desperately need to switch my routine. For those of you who actually managed to reduce hair fall and breakage in the shower, what products did you switch to? Need real answers, not just Instagram ad hype.

Title says everything. even if I oil my hair before showering, it won't itch for only one day and it starts itching again

Could anyone recommend a CHEAP advise for these? I can't afford branded shampoos, always get cheap ones

(Note: cause of my skin disease, I can't shower in hot water as flares my face up really easily, and I don't have medicine for this)

This is how it turned out today but the thing is it turned too frizzy after sometime and it was overwhelming so I had to tie it up. Please gimme some suggestions and advice to avoid frizz and make smoother. My hair is not exactly curly naturally but kind of wavy between straight and curly

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 My hair confuses me! Is this a hormonal issue or a damage issue?

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

I have naturally tight curly hair. The first photo is what the front (crown) of my hair looks like after washing and conditioning, and with a bit of curl cream. The roots are extremely frizzy for some reason. The ends are damaged, but not as dry or frizzy. The second photo is hair from the back of my head. It’s not nearly as frizzy, and it curls!

Im not sure if this is damage since the new growth is frizzy, limp, and won’t curl. I’m not sure if this means it’s hormonal since the back of my hair is fine.

If anyone has any advice on how I should approach trying to fix this!

I have tried protein treatments, they don’t do too much. I was thinking maybe olaplex 3?

Thank you for your help!

🔎 Product Question 🔎 Got Kérastase products and I’m SO excited to try it

Finally got my hands on the Kérastase Paris Gloss Absolu Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask, and the packaging alone has me obsessed.

I’ve been wanting to try this range for that glossy, smooth, salon-like hair look, and I’m so excited to see how it works on my hair.

For anyone who has tried the Gloss Absolu range, I need the honest reviews! Is it worth the hype? Which product made the biggest difference to your hair, and did you notice a difference in shine, frizz and smoothness?

⚡️ Frizzy Hair ⚡️ Can Olaplex no.6 dry out 2A hair?

my hair very recently changed from straight with minimal waves to a hair that has these coarse wirey kinky pubic hair like strands. I did all the tests needed and everything looked normal so i’m just assuming my hair is now becoming wavier. However, i’ve been experimenting with products lately, and was wondering if using Olaplex no6 on virgin hair that hasnt been colored or chemically treated, would add further damage to my hair.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Shampoo recommendation

I have type 2A wavy hair, and my scalp is slightly oily, but not excessively so. Whenever I wash my hair, it becomes flat, and for some reason, it feels a little greasy. I’m currently using Dove Intense Repair shampoo, but it really doesn’t suit my hair.

Could you guys recommend the best shampoo for my hair type? I’m a student, so my budget is around ₹500–600.

😩 Damaged Hair 😩 Sleep damage is causing my hair to get matted.

I always had a problem with sleep damage. I maintain my hair through out the day but when I sleep with a bonnet the ends of the hair still get matted. Im thinking all the damage is happening when I sleep. Does anyone have tips for this or struggles through the same thing.

🔎 Product Question 🔎 Messy baby hair.. hairline :(

Post image
• Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I used this product in the past, twice. So once in 2024 and then another time in early 2025. Each time i took the 3 months program.

The thing is.. now i have a bunch of tiny baby hairs coming out from my hairline and they don't seem to grow more than 3cm or 6cm. It's just been like this for almost one year.

I started taking it because i was losing lots of hair, my hair was getting thinner than usual so i got scared. But now my issue is those baby hair constantly dancing in my forehead, i can't control them at all. If i use my hands too much to move them to both sides they start getting oily (my hair is oily after a few hours of washing).

When i go out it looks like i didn't take care of my hair, i look like whatever.. just because of those hairs. Anyone in the same situation or do you have a good tip to help? I really don't know what to do anymore..

Ty so much in advance!

⚡️ Frizzy Hair ⚡️ Advice regarding changing the shampoo for F23

i have oily hairs like i need to wash my hairs every third day and they get super frizzy. and i also moved my place and here water is more harsher felt the need to change my products so first i added dove peptide hair mask and along with that 72H hyaluronic moisture conditioner. For like one two times i used these i felt the need to change my shampoo as well like my hairs were a little less frizzy at the ends and but at the roots it didn't feel right. So, i changed my shampoo from clinic plus to loreal 72H hyaluronic pure. But as i changed the shampoo, my hair got oily in just two days i need to wash them the third day. I mean is it fine?? or i need to change the shampoo i just washed my hair with the new shampoo only twice and i am afraid and don't know what to do as this is my first time like changing hair products. So yeah, do advice on what i can do or if i am going wrong somewhere . Thanks in advance.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Why does my hair look like this?

Post image
2 Upvotes

My 2C very thick wavy hair is dry, frizzy, and dull. It gets super poofy when I brush it. I'm completely heat-free, but it still feels damaged. I have blonde highlights. I'm looking for product recommendations. I have low porosity roots and high porosity lengths. My routine is literally just shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner/wave cream. If I’m being honest idk what I’m doing and I’ve only really started caring about my hair until very recently. What should I change? Should I start using heat on my hair?

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Best hair straightener for curly/wavy hair: Philips vs Remington?

Hi everyone! I have naturally curly/wavy hair and I’m planning to buy a hair straightener. I’ve shortlisted these three options:

  1. Philips BHS530/03
  2. Remington Shine Therapy Pro
  3. Remington Curl & Straight Confidence

My main goal is to get sleek, straight, frizz-free hair that stays straight for a good amount of time, without making my hair feel dry or damaged.

If you’ve used any of these straighteners, especially on curly or wavy hair, please share your experience! Which one gives the best results, leaves hair shiny, and works well in humid weather?

I’d really appreciate your recommendations and honest reviews. Thank you! 💗

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 My hair used to be pretty thick, not its not. Is there hope?

Looking back at my pictures from when I was like 10 or 11, I had pretty thick hair (no visible scalp). Now recently, about when I was 13-14 I’ve noticed more visible scalp. I’m now 15 and I want to fix my hair. I have probably 1b hair.

I think my hair has gotten thinner due to my habits like using shampoo every day and idk, putting body wash in my hair? (Science purposes)

I stopped using shampoo every day around when I was 14.

Last week, my mom also started putting a mixture of coconut oil and rosemary, stating it would help, and she puts that 2 times a week.

Is there hope?

Off topic, but I’m tryna get a mod cut, how do i convince my mom that texture powder isn’t that bad, pr if there are other good alternatives for my hair that for now, can hide my scalp.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Do I have straight or curly hair?

So I’ve struggled with my hair for the last few years - it seems to be either always frizzy or just a weird combo of straight/wavy hair

I need the curly haired girlies to either help me with my hair type or humble me and tell me it’s just straight and frizzy hahah

For context on pics: I don’t use any curly product, just use normal shampoo and conditioner then air dry while I sleep

Pic 1: hair from front
Pic 2: hair wet from shower
Pic 3: weird straight/wavy clumps I’m talking about

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Does 3C–4A hair need more sectioning when styling than wavy hair?

I have thick, long 3C–4A curly hair, and I’m wondering whether sectioning is more important when applying styling products compared to someone with wavy hair.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Desperate for Air Dry Tips without Scrunching

Post image

My hair is fine. Slight wave underneath since menopause but used to be very straight. I damaged my hair with too much heat over the past year and now I need to go heatless (and had to cut several inches). Air drying has been a struggle for a while now and I no longer know how to style without heat. I feel like a drowned rat. Especially since I had to go back to my natural brown (blonde highlights for years). Scrunching just makes my hair look like crap. I have tried all the methods. I would really like to know what I can do and use to achieve smooth, shiny, maybe a little body (do not need waves).

The photo below is from today. Shampoo, conditioner, Ouai leave in, about dime size of Ouai curl cream, pea size of pantene wave gel (rubbed both together in palms before applying), and very gentle scrunch/twist. Then just air dried. I hate it.

🚩 Advice Needed 🚩 Need help with bleached hair plssd

I have already done one round on my hair a while back but my roots have already grown out bcs I waited a bit longer to be able to bleach it again. Should I just bleach my roots and just tone the rest? Or would it just be best to go over all of it again? I just dont want to damage it. It stayed like at an orange color

🔎 Product Question 🔎 Best dry schampoo that give structure, more dense and give it hold (black hair)

I am a male and for many years I used "Lernberger stafsing dryclean dark brown". It was wonderfull, it made my fine, whispy hair stay in one place, didn't react to wind. It made the individual strands sort of cling together so it felt so compact. I guess this specific dry schampoo wasn"t for everyone because it was pretty much impossible to comb it after usage because all the hairs kinda clinged together. This product is no longer available but I use "Dryclean brown" instead, which isn't as good (i think it was at some point but they must have changed ingredients) and it is also light brown which makes my black hair look strange.

Does anybody know a dry schampoo or other hair product that can transform my thin hair like this product did?
