Where do you meet people and possibly date if you're a non-Pakistani living here? It seems there's not much to do besides cafes, restaurants, padel, or checking out Margalla Hills. I'm not Pakistani; I am an American here so whilst it's pretty, there's not much to do. Is chatting with friends and playing padel the main thing people do? I'm a mid-20s non-religious guy who works alone.
I checked out that activity thread that someone made, and some of it is cool. Are there events that happen, like fairs or concerts, where it's easy to meet people? There also doesn't seem to be a foreigner community here so I'm a bit lost in starting my Islamabad adventures. Unfortunately I just read, gym, and work.

Also, food recs? I see so many mixed reviews, and unfortunately everything looks really upscale, but the food is just mediocre. I've been to places like Eggspectation, fuoco, sumo, and some cafes.

I’m planning a wedding shoot and looking for location recommendations in or around DHA Phase 1, Islamabad. Ideally within a 10-15 minutes drive.
What I’m after:
- Secluded or low-footfall spots where we can shoot without a crowd gathering or people staring and filming us
- A mix of natural scenery (trees, hills, open views, golden-hour light) and anything with character, like old structures, quiet trails or interesting backdrops
- Somewhere that feels cinematic rather than the usual overcrowded tourist spots
- Places that are safe, especially since we’ll be in wedding outfits with gear
- A place with no permission or entry issues

Islamabad sectors: Which sectors offer reasonable rent, a good living environment, and easy access to everyday necessities?

Bahria Enclave: What are the current rents for 1-bedroom apartments or small portions? How is daily life there?

Gulberg Greens: How does the rent compare with other areas, and is it a practical option for someone living alone?
