Have you ever had the server waiting for you at expedite the moment you got there?  I almost never have.

wait what? I'm sure its happened, but I can't remember the last time there wasn't a person at the window when I pulled up.

Actually, yes I can. Burger King, March 2026, Pittsburgh. That location sucks ass. But every wendy's, mcdonald's, arby's, etc. fast food place besides BK has had people at the windows every single time, no matter where I have been in the US.

With my experience, if it's busy, they're talking to the next person behind me and then they look up when they finish the order. 

If it's not busy, they're chatting with their friends or browsing Tick Tock and then look up in a bit. 

I rarely have situations where I could be blasting Vanessa Gonzalez and have someone immediately be looking at me and ready to respond with the line.
