Can someone explain to me why ā€˜Free Palestine’ = Jewish hate?

Hey Bob, if you don’t want to free the Palestinian people, could you please also explain to me what you’d prefer to do with them?

Bob Kraft can bang trafficked Chinese girls at the local massage parlor with no consequences

I think he just got jerked off

It’s impossible to have any real conversation with people that take this stance. They shut down any discourse because hearing ā€œfree Palestineā€ hurts their feefees and makes them feel ā€œscaredā€ or threatened because they’re projecting. They have a Godwin for every argument. Israel is an ethnostate when its convenient for them but also conveniently doesn’t represent or equal Jewish people whenever it’s convenient for the argument.

Kraft literally gave his reasoning as to how he interpreted this as being Jewish hate.Ā

-23

u/anxiousone56 Sep 14 '26

It’s the exact opposite.

Right? LmaoĀ

Jew here, it’s not

Because it's the only play they have.

Kinda seems like a winning play unfortunately.

Are you actually interested in understanding, or are you just making a point?

There are many places you can look it up (Haviv Rettig-Gur has many YouTube videos where he explains it beautifully, there are many posts about it on the multiple Jewish subreddits, I'm sure you can find whole books on it if you google), but I don't mind summarising it here if you're genuinely interested.

Hey Bob, if you don’t want to free the Palestinian people, could you please also explain to me what you’d prefer to do with them?

I can't speak for Robert Kraft, although he does say in his statement that he agrees with Macklemore about peace and ending the suffering of Palestinians (it's a much more fleshed out disclaimer than Macklemore's statements had), but I assume he doesn't object to the literal meaning of Free Palestine, but the baggage it comes with when deployed as it was by Macklemore. My guess is that he believes that Palestinians should live freely in a Palestinian state alongside Israel, just not at the expense of Israel. I don't know for sure what he believes, but that's a reasonable assumption because those have been the opinions of the UN (officially) and the entire western world for as long as Robert Kraft has been alive.

I will explain to you - although I do want Palestinians to have their freedom & self determination, this should not come at the cost of the Jewish state and its people. Most people who just say the two words ā€œFree Palestineā€ can’t comprehend holding two truths at the same time and want to dissolve Israel as the Jewish state for the Palestinians.

Not wanting a Jewish state = Jewish hate as you don’t believe they have a right to a country where they should feel safe after all the prosecutions. Also it happens to be their ancestral land.

You can call for a free Palestine and self determination of Palestinians while also calling for the safety and self determination of Israel and its Jews, which he hasn’t done.

When it comes from someone who does Jewface on stage, it seems more than a little opportunistic

u/IcyKaleidoscope1427 Sep 15 '26

Did he get banned for that though, or did he get banned for using his platform to advocate for Palestine? I love people pretending that this is what they cared about all along once they realize they have no good explanation for their objection to his statement.

1

u/freelancephilosophy Sep 15 '26

He got banned for being an antisemite. It’s very reasonable for Jewish people to be suspicious of a known antisemite’s motives when it comes to their singular foray into geopolitical activism.

1

u/IcyKaleidoscope1427 Sep 15 '26

Does saying "Free Palestine" and waving the Palestinian flag make you an antisemite? Because that is what preceded his ban, not this photo. That is what Ed told him made people uncomfortable, not this photo. Keep trying to rewrite history though.

And his excuse that ā€œhe didn’t know this was offensiveā€ā€¦. BULLSHIT.

Bro this shit is right out of a Nazi propaganda poster.

u/MountainFriend7473 Sep 15 '26

It starts young and is continued in all forms of media to perceive the need to have land as a divine right when it’s really state/government propaganda to treat people as inferior and second class beings. Have to effectively control the message and conditioning to ensure it’s enforced and maintained.Ā

Which is not the same as Judaism.Ā

Well, there's some people demonstrating and marching under the Free Palestine banner that chant "from the river to the sea," which Hamas itself has used as a slogan to signify their desire to eliminate Israel completely.

By that standard you can declare any and every slogan in favor of Palestinian rights to be antisemetic. You can just claim "yeah, that sounds fine but it was said the the basic vacinity of this other phrase that's bad so not they're all bad by association tee hee"

Throw in the fact that Hamas are the de facto leadership of Palestine, and a lot of Jewish people are on their guard, and take "Free Palestine" as "you are cheering for people that want us dead."

The Palestinian Authority is the official leader of Palestine despite many Palestinians considering them puppets of Israel/unrepresentative.

It’s similar to those arguing that ā€œBlack Lives Matterā€ is somehow black supremacy.

5

u/Nonyabizzy123 Sep 14 '26

Wanting the elimination of the state of Israel is also not anti-Semitic, anymore than natives wanting the elimination of the United States would be anti-European.

0

u/OutrageousCrab9224 Sep 15 '26

Well they are not the color he prefers

0

u/RecycledMatrix Sep 15 '26

Because Palestinians stand in the way of Israel's expansion by existing.

0

u/DjImagin Sep 15 '26

Because Israeli’s truly think Palestinians are on land ā€œpromised to them by God himselfā€ and Bibi has done backflips to tie criticism of a government to criticism of an entire religion.

u/beerandloathingpdx Sep 15 '26

Don’t ask Robert Kraft what he wants to do with them, that guy was in the Epstein files.

-6

u/Ryzensai Sep 14 '26

Well, he has a history of doing things like dressing up as a caricature of a Hasidic Jew

5

u/greenknight884 Sep 15 '26

Well what about someone who doesn't have a history of doing that? What if they said it?

-1

u/Ryzensai Sep 15 '26

I would probably be more sympathetic to whoever that person is, to be honest.

0

u/Ok_Umpire8214 Sep 15 '26

And that is worse than genocide, right??

-5

u/surfoxy Sep 14 '26

He literally explains what he means in the article.

-3

u/Septum_Slayer Sep 15 '26

The same way that criticizing women = misogyny. You’re not allowed to question the status quo of certain groups without being shut down for being ā€œhatefulā€. Even if you make great points and are tactful, there’s just certain things you’re not supposed to speak out against.

Don't try to conflate your incel shit with actual real issues
