Its been 2 yrs since my ORD. Doing cyber-related at work at the moment. I have been thinking of signing on DIS in MDES scheme.

ORD in July 2027 and superior wants me to rebmt at Sch V in Jan 2027. If I finish recourse do I rank up to CPL straight away or smth? And I heard you get backpay for the money you would of gotten as LCP/CPL, is that true?

Also any idea why I never get called back for reBMT and superior had to arrange for me? I'm p-tagged is that why? My reBMT is not confirmed so I'm curious.

So I was checking my teeth through Khatib Polyclinic and was told to bring my 11B to check in. However, upon reaching the registration, I presented by 11B only to be told to give my IC instead. Later, I was charged the bill directly and checked online which told me to present my 11B at the time of registration so that the bill will be sent to the government. So I am rather confused as to why this happened.

From your experience, is it generally easier to up PES or down PES?

I’m interested to hear from people who have gone through either process. How difficult was it, how long did it take, and what factors influenced the outcome?

Dude I hear everybody here talking about all their frustrations during NS which are legit concerns, but the worst part of doing NS for me was how I kept on getting sick, in my 5.5 months of BMT I came down with a high fever 4 times ( pretty sure it was the same Tekong flu all 4 times ), 1st time I caught that bitch was before 1st block leave they give you in BMT, got home and I was literally constantly coughing up and leaking green mucous for 4 fucking days which eventually turned brown , I was sleeping on the floor with the AC on cause of my high fever, then during a Friday night I had to pull up to the AnE with my mum cause my fever was staying above 39*C, this was just the first, the other 3 high fevers in BMT were also bad but it got better cause my immunity got built up, got sick once again in vocational training and 3 times in unit.

For me the worst part of NS was how many times I got fucking sick, btw I usually only get sick once a year around there, somebody should research this I truly believe that Tekong has its own unique strain of flu, too many people get sick.

I’m writing this cause I got sick again.

I've been volunteering since before NS and I wonder if I can continue during my weekends. It's unpaid, community-based work, including helping beneficiaries directly and/or doing photography for volunteer organisations.

Do I need to declare these activities under extracurriculars or seek approval? If I don't declare them and get caught, could I face disciplinary action or be charged under the SAF Act or other regulations?

guys how long does it normally take to downpes and whats the procedure like? i have a past injury thats starting to flare up and mentally wise im not coping well with my current course

My grandmother and mother and sometimes, younger sister, keep kpkb for a few months saying I missing out “a lot” because they claim I downpes and Chao Keng “on purpose” and then take a lot of surgery and MC/HL during NS. They say people “learn so many things during NS” whereas i don’t.

Is there any weight to their statement?

I have excuse stay in so what will the regimentation be like for me?

Do I follow the packing list that includes bringing duffel bag or can I just bring my daily bag that I bring currently to unit. Will I also need to bring admin/pt kit or nah.

Also how will stay out work like what time would I book in and out.

I’m a mid-career applicant looking to make a career switch to become an RSAF pilot. I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has gone through the application process, especially recent applicants or fellow mid-career switchers.

I completed my aeromedical examination and compass test around two months ago. I recently contacted the RSAF Recruitment Centre for an update and was told that they are currently awaiting follow-up slots, and that an officer would contact me once the slots are available.
I have a couple of questions for those who have gone through this stage:

Does anyone know what these “follow-up slots” refer to?

What would the next stage of the application involve?

After aeromedical clearance, what happens next? Are there further interviews, assessments or a board review before a final decision is made?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through this process.

I heard that we Pes E1 peeps are not allowed to engage in any physical activity but the letter told me to bring swimming goggles so I would like to ask whether I need to swim in NS

Also, whats the most likely vocation I'll be posted to given my exemptions? And what is this vocation like?

Finally, am I allowed to exercise during my free time or even hit the gym if theres one in kranji camp?

PCC hasn't offered him PES F yet, think only PES D which he refused. He has OCD, ADHD etc and cannot stand the camp environment and its dirtiness. He kena RSO banned cos he take too many MC. He cannot make friends or talk to people in camp and is dying from lack of work given to him. Tell him get MC from IMH he only request for 2 days. When I scold him he go back in and ask for 3 days. I damn pissed and sian also don't know how help him.
