I humbly request everyone to contribute to the relief fund provided by the PMO office. Even a tiny contribution of Rs 100 can make a meaningful difference when 1000s of people come together. The support we contribute is not just merely a financial contribution but a reflection of social harmony and solidarity we have amongst us. Let’s support the fund by donating even a tiny bit of what we have.

Prayers to all those affected in today’s flood.🕊️

Ask a Millenial (Question) How Do You Feel About Your National Airline?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Namaste, everyone!

I'm from India and I'm an aviation enthusiast. One thing I enjoy doing is asking people from different countries about their national airlines and how they feel about them.

So, I'd love to hear from Nepalis about Nepal Airlines (Nepal's flag carrier).

A few things I'm curious about:

  • Public opinion: How do you feel about Nepal Airlines? Are you proud of it as your national carrier?
  • What works well: What do you genuinely like about the airline?
  • What needs improvement: What are your biggest complaints or frustrations with it?
  • The future: What changes would you most like to see in its fleet, routes, service, reliability, or overall management?
  • Competition: Do you prefer flying with Nepal Airlines or other airlines operating in Nepal? What influences your choice?
  • Your ideal national carrier: What would you want Nepal Airlines to become over the next 10–15 years?

I'm not here to compare countries or make fun of anyone's airline. I'm interested in hearing local perspectives because an airline can mean much more to its home country than just getting people from one place to another.

Feel free to share your honest opinions, personal experiences, criticisms, or hopes for its future. I'd love to learn from your perspectives!

Thank you! 🇳🇵

Rant i had a dream as a kid. and than, when it got in fruition. everything fell apart.

i was a kid who had a basic dream. i remember myself. i wasn't like i wanna be super rich or getting a lot of money kind of guy. i always was getting basics all my life. i simply had just 1 dream. to built a home where i'm staying rn. just a basic af home where i am away from my hometown. and now, i don't have any dream. i'm going through a phase or whatever you call it, existentialism.

my hometown, the place i was born. it doesn't have the best of memories. its filled with my dad's drinking problem and his long fight with depression. my mom's struggle and her life filled with just work with tampering sun. her loud yell at everyone. and i as a witness seeing everything just realizing that is it what it suppose to be. my grand-dad used to say that having a home where he is will be good for us from when i was like 9/10 yoe. and i remember my dad used to be sober when he's with grand-dad when in dashain. since then, i always had a dream to build this house.

we eventually did. rented our previous home to build another in a place i feel no home in the hopes of making it one. in just a year, something bad happened. my dad went away. and my dream didn't makes sense. he just left with no remorse of ever coming back. my life took a hit of my dream shattering and my way of life vanishing. i have this home now. its been couple of years and every day i struggle to stay here.

i don't feel like i belong here. but my nieces are growing up here. and now, it has some good memories. but somewhere deep in me, i still like i'm the problem. even with this much abundance, my heart worries little more every time. i somehow think of leaving this place but something holds me back. its just not that simple anymore. i tried moving to another country but withdrawn my visa because i just couldn't make it makes sense.

somewhere i know if i stay here, i'll waste my life in no hopes of anything more. somewhere i just wanna go someplace and make great use of the life i got. the crossroad that leaving feels so distressed and hard was never there. but now, it is.

just a rant, don't need any advice please. if you had gone through something similar, please do share tho. i can't relate to people anymore.

Random Thoughts Went to Rajdevi Mata Mandir After Years, and Something Felt Different ❤️🙏

Today, after years, I went to Rajdevi Mata Mandir for Satmi Prasadi, and honestly, it felt so peaceful. ❤️

I still remember going there as a little boy, holding my father's hand in the crowd. Today, I went on my own. My father told me, “You go. I can't stand in such a crowd for so long anymore.”

That hit differently. Somewhere between those memories, I realised that our parents are getting older, too. 🥹

And the funny part? 😂 A little voice inside me was still that same small boy, thinking, “How am I going to manage in such a huge crowd?” My stomach was making noises, and I was expecting chaos everywhere.

But somehow, I reached the temple so smoothly. There wasn't even the kind of rush I had imagined. Everything just felt effortless.

I don't know how to explain it, but I genuinely feel there's a connection between me and God. Sometimes life makes my path difficult, but somehow, it never lets me lose my way. And sometimes, when I least expect it, things fall into place so peacefully. 🙏

The atmosphere, the scent of agarbatti, the devotion, the energy of the temple, and that unexplainable feeling in my heart… some experiences are simply beyond words.

And now? It's time to enjoy the Satmi Prasadi! 😂❤️

Maybe growing up is realising that the hand you once held is getting older, while the faith that guided you as a child is still holding yours.

Jai Rajdevi Mata! 🙏❤️

Some places don't just bring you closer to God; they bring you back to the person you used to be.

GodDamm-Serious Need a wife for me- apply now.

• Upvotes

This post is inspired by a recent post here- "1 hapta lai bf chahiyo wala". Throwaway for anonymity purposes.

To put it bluntly, I am looking for a wife. Got divorced 2 years ago, and now too busy to date and can't give a single fuck to go through all that again.

Living in Australia. Working as a general practitioner. Earn around AUD 500k plus per year. Have PR and own a house worth 1 mil+. Age 33. Cast chettri. Considered handsome by traditional sense. Atheist. Straight.

Need someone who shares the same values as me, and is around 25-35 age. Cast doesn't matter. Height/skin colour doesn't matter. Preferably no strong religious sentiments. Someone who is open to progress rather than assuming a traditional housewife role.

Happy to chat or VC and provide additional proof if we establish rapport. Girls, if you think you are my soulmate, hit the inbox or leave a comment.

Cheers.

The 2 things she loves the most. (She didn't have a healthy relationship with her dad back then i don't know about now)

Our common friend was trying to tease us and disturb us in a sarcastic way but we both shhhed her at the same time and laughed about it.

And I woke up 😭😭 I wanted to hug her one last time.. i didn't want to wake up aja... But I was laughing so hard that I woke up.

I loved her so so much... I don't know how i will move on. It was 3 years of relationship and almost 2 years to move on hune try gardai garda bityo aba... Normally busy huda I dont miss her much tara vacation is making me realise I am so lonely.

Random Thoughts Nepal had to live with indian SSB post in Nepal's Kalapani area for 60 years, why cannot Nepal invite PLA to base in Humla and Jumla district? At-least the Chinese will build some roads and hospitals there.

Infrastructure development is Nepal's biggest weakness. And if there is one thing the Chinese are good at it's building roads and bridges and dams and everything infrastructure related.

Random Thoughts The emptyness of kathamndu

Just a random thought, since i dont have dashain due to a loss of random relative, usally i dont get to celebrate its kind of like a lineup every year, the crazy thing is always working 9-5 grinding weeklongs , today i travelled around ktm , its soo freaking empty, not gonna say its healing and dumb shit but feels soo booring. All my random corporate friends are out of valley is what i realized, being a very freeking people person , feels freeking empty ! At this age i find it very hard to make a genuine friendship, its either corporates, just someone to share random rants, all my batch mates being busy and all many of them being abroad and all. Kathmandu is so empty , the streets are free of the chaos , many people like it, i usally dont there is very less like no cafe open or someone to have a tea talk with. Its so hollow. I am feeling like kathmandu today.

Ask a Millenial (Question) Life in Australia as a Nepali 🇳🇵🇦🇺

Namaste everyone! I'm curious about the reality of living in Australia as a Nepali.

How is life there in terms of jobs, living expenses, racism, loneliness, and long-term opportunities?

For those already living in Australia, are you happy with your decision to move there? What advice would you give someone planning to come?

Honest opinions, both positive and negative, are welcome! 🙏

Ask a Millenial (Question) Germany vs. New Zealand for a Master's Degree, PR, and Future Opportunities in Australia

Hey everyone!

I'm currently in my third year of a bachelor's degree and doing an internship as a backend developer. My long-term goal is to pursue a master's degree abroad, build a career in IT, and eventually obtain permanent residency (PR).

Australia has always been one of my preferred destinations, but studying there may be too expensive. I might need a loan to finance my master's degree, so I want to choose an option that is financially manageable and offers good long-term opportunities.

After some research, I've narrowed my options down to Germany and New Zealand.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the following:

Which country is better for a master's degree in IT or a related field?

How realistic is it to obtain PR in Germany or New Zealand?

Considering tuition fees, living expenses, and the possibility of taking a student loan, which country is more financially manageable?

My long-term goal is to move to Australia someday, if possible. Would studying or working in either country make that transition easier?

I'm not just looking for the easiest way to get PR. I want to choose a country where I can afford my education, build a stable career, and have a reasonable chance of settling down in the long run.

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have studied, worked, or settled in either country.

Thanks in advance!

Ask a Millenial (Question) Home care culture in nepal

How does home care work in Nepal?

Most Nepali parents still live with their children, which is a good thing. But as more young couples choose to live separately and many young people move abroad, how do families take care of their elderly parents?

If your parents need someone to look after them, how do you find a trustworthy caregiver? What if they need a nurse or physiotherapist at home?

Do you rely on friends and relatives, search on Facebook, contact hospitals, or use home-care agencies?

How much does home care usually cost in Nepal? Is it easy to find reliable and qualified people? What do you do if a caregiver suddenly becomes unavailable?

Do you think the demand for home care services is growing in Nepal? Are there any reliable websites or apps to find these services?

I'd love to hear your experiences and opinions!

Confession Maybe This Dashain Is Exactly What I Needed 🍂✨

Honestly, this Dashain has been treating me really well. Good opportunities, a nice profit, some unexpected experiences, and finally getting the chance to return to my hometown after such a long time.

There’s something special about coming back to a place where so many memories began. The familiar streets, the peaceful atmosphere, the food, and that feeling of belonging somewhere—it hits differently when you’ve been away for a long time.

Sometimes life surprises you in the best ways when you stop overthinking everything and simply enjoy the moment. I came here expecting a relaxing vacation, but so far, it’s turning out to be much more memorable than I imagined.

Maybe some places just have a way of making life feel beautiful again. Who knows what the rest of this Dashain has in store? 😌✨
