Random Thoughts Restless at 30, Nepal

Okay. Let me share something

I am 30 years male, unmarried

Earn: around 1 lakh monthly

Family of 4, ageing parents and a younger sister

Bright student who never thought of leaving Nepal

Fell in love for a year (3 yrs back) ----> didn't work out

Aba life has taken its turn, most of my friends are abroad

Most of them have started a family

I am working my ass off and earning descent, yet I dont feel like I am doing something life changing.

Aile during dashain vacation my family is enjoying, cousins are here and we are having a good time, yet I feel the pressure of not being able to do anymore

I mean. Nepal ma afno standard change garna nasakine raxa jasto feel huna thalya xa. I mean aile saving garxu, next month kharcha hunchaaa

Had mom's surgery in a reputed hospital and my 2 months salary is gone. Saving garera euta car kinum socheko 2 yrs vayo, the thing is car ko kharcha puryauna ni sochnu parne awastha xa.

I mean when will I be able to afford what I want. I know people's wishes are endless, but is it too much to wish, not just a car k, a decent wedding, a basic lifestyle, a good fucking healthcare???

Maile katai padhya thea, we are one hospital bill away from poverty. I genuinely feel that.

I am not depressed and shit. Tara I am genuinely wondering k garne hola. At 30, I almost dont feel like leaving nepal also. I mean Sabai yetai ta xa, but 10 yrs back and now aile samma hamro living standards ma kei farak xaina, how and whyyy???

Sathi abroad gayo, usko dukha afai sanga hola, but atleast he has money ni haina?? Moneyy ko freedom kaile paune hamile nepal basera.

Belun le ni k garos. Geography doesn't favor Nepal, so there's a limit on how much he can ward off the indian influence. Bharatiya dalal haruko big-bigi yeka tira. Ani uta oli ra deuba, ani tini haruka jholey haruko mannma jindagi bhari tikdam garera bhrastchar garera lutera kamako paisa Belun le siddhyaidincha ki bhanne darr. They will do anything to create chaos and make Nepal as ungovernable as possible if Belun goes after them. Karmachari tantra ma ta 95% nai party emale, Congress, maowadi ra dai-maruwa ka jholey haru matra chan. Imandar government official ta khojera ni painna hola Nepalma.

Where should Belun start the cleaning process, when it's 100% certain the bhrastcharis will unite and react? How is he supposed to deal with the reaction? And are people mature enough to understand, he will need time and continues support from the people?

Random Thoughts I enjoy work more than my everyday life. Is that a problem?

Hello fellow millennials.
I love my job, it is the most rewarding thing. But I kinda dislike my life outside of it.

I live with my parents and I love them to the moon. I have other family members such as cousins and friends too. But I don’t see them everyday since we don’t live in the same place. Let’s just say I don’t have a regular beer buddy and nothing romantic is happening in my life.

I do have some hobbies but I’m a people person. Growing up in Nepal in a tight knit community, I was always surrounded by people who I cared for. So life now can get lonely sometimes. If you are in a similar boat or just feel sorry for a random stranger, please say hi. It will put a smile on my face 😁

Guys I am really interested in knowing about land prices in districts like Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha or any hilly district outside Kathmandu valley. If your guys are from any hilly district in Nepal pls drop the land prices nearby you.

Thank you very much for your attention

Ask a Millenial (Question) Any book recommendations for understanding family relationships, Nepali culture, and psychology?

I'm 15M an introvert and someone who hasn't really socialized much or had many conversations with people. Lately, I've been thinking about how little I know about relationships, family dynamics, and life in general, and I'd like to start learning from the basics.

I'm particularly interested in understanding family tree and relationships in the context of Nepal. I also want to understand the terminology used for different family relationships, such as father-in-law, brother-in-law, and other terms that I never fully learned or understood.

Beyond that, I'd like to learn how families function, how to build stronger family relationships, how to communicate better, how to handle disagreements, and how to understand other people's perspectives. I'm also interested in psychology, especially human behavior, emotional intelligence, parenting, family dynamics, and interpersonal relationships.

What I'm looking for is a starting point from absolute zero. Books, resources, or even personal experiences that could help me understand these things would be greatly appreciated. Since I'm from Nepal, recommendations that consider Nepali society, traditions, family expectations, and cultural norms would be especially helpful.

I'm not necessarily looking for academic textbooks. I'd prefer accessible books, writing , novel that explain things clearly and help me understand real-life situations.

Where would you recommend I start? Are there any books you think everyone should read to better understand people, family, relationships, and life in general?

Rant Late night munchers.

• Upvotes

Surely there are a lot of youse who can’t help but order late night take aways. We are fine the whole day, but when the evening starts to get darker we are divulged by the greed of spices, oil, fat and cholesterol.

I just wanted to say I feel for you my fellow citizens. You are not alone. And we will get through this. One day we hope to find the solution to to develop new medicines that will end diabetes and cholesterol and blood pressure and what not.

Keep munching my friends. After all the economy needs us. How would the restaurant business feed their families if not for us. We are a vital part of this ecosystem. Be proud.

Ask a Millenial (Question) Which country do you think has a better future Nepal or Ukraine?

We all know Ukraine is a 'Russia-pidit' country like Nepal is an 'india-pidit' country.

So taking a sober assessment of the situation both countries find themselves in, which country do you think has a better future in the long run - Nepal or Ukraine?
