I’m looking for a comprehensive mix of people, places, and things to weave together like a musical patchwork quilt of this province’s illustrious and tumultuous history. I’m also challenging myself to put all these rapid-fire name-drops in chronological order, give them a smooth syllabic flow, and make them rhyme as cleverly as possible.

So, with all of that in mind, fire away, ol’ trouts. First fella to come up with a word that rhymes with ‘moratorium’ gets a free case of Black Horse beer next time I sees you or your fadder.

What stops someone from aggressively overstating their square footage and listing it?

I got a 11-20 over violation last week and was curious if this has to be reported. It’s not written in my insurance contract but I didn’t know it was law that you have to.

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for (or against) pet insurance? We have two male cats (7 and 8 years old). We’ve had the 7 year old for ~4 months and the 8 year old his entire life. No health issues thus far but interested in seeing if insurance is worth it as a large vet bill would be difficult to pay right now. If anyone has suggestions on companies it would be greatly appreciated! Also any suggestions on vets would be great as well. We live in the east end of St. John’s.

I have been having the occasional cigar night with a few friends and the topic of a cigar social group keeps coming up. There are no cigar lounges in NL and public spaces where a group can meet year round and smoke cigars together are basically nonexistent. From my searches I don't see any existing groups advertised online anywhere that gather.

The only option seems to be forming a group for a social gathering at a private residence. Particularly in winter.

I am looking to guage interest in creating such a social group. The area I have in which I could host such a thing would be limited to 8-10 people max. My initial thoughts are that the group would gather once every 2-4 weeks to smoke, socialize, learn about cigars, and hopefully create some fun. I'm in St. John's also which is an important point to add. Perhaps people could form groups elsewhere if my spot is out of range.

As interest is guaged I'll have to develop some rules and guidelines about how things would proceed. Mature crowd only as this is not meant to be a "party" thing.

Any recommendations on a spot where I could get some rust spots fixed for a good price? They haven't rusted through so seem to be mostly on the surface. While I'm not sure if she did it on purpose, one thing that really sticks out to me from watching the video is what a gong show parliament is. I mean, while I get that yelling is part of the game, but MPs (no matter what stripe they are) should at least be able to speak without the by's yelling and screaming like they are kids on the playground.

2 days later after the announcement by some budget accounting think tank locally that our genius MHA's should all get a $22,000+ salary increase I expected of course dead silence from the Libs and Cons but yikes! Where are the NDP socialists members hiding on this? No comment? Dinn will get even a greater increase ($33,000) as he is the leader of the party of 2. Nothing like a massive wage increase to silence the critics.

I see lots of chatter around Below, mostly actors, writing, and resulting tourism, but I have a burning question that is completely unrelated: does the Ocean Sciences Centre have an underground viewing window into the ocean? Or is it some kind of flume tank? You see it twice, once when Barry is smashing his head against the window, and then again when the doctor returns to OSC and finds all her samples thawing.

It seemed like the water was implied to be ocean, but I suspect if this location was real, and actually in the OSC, it'd just be a tank. I do see a "17m flume tank with sediment tray" listed on a MUN page about equipment at the OSC. Anyone know anything about it?
