Daily Watchlist for Small Caps (Momentum) Stocks - Monday October 19th, 2026
Monday, October 19 Penny Stock Watchlist — SAFX, HUIZ, VCIG, MMA, SHFS + More
Friday's scanners picked up some serious activity across small caps, including after-hours breakouts, repeated momentum signals, and unusual relative volume.
For Monday, I'm looking at stocks appearing across multiple independent scanners rather than simply chasing the biggest percentage gain.
The weekend gap is important. Friday's activity identifies where attention was concentrated, but Monday's price action needs to confirm whether that interest remains.

PRIMARY WATCHLIST — AFTER-HOURS MOMENTUM + CONFLUENCE
$SAFX: Explosive After-Hours Momentum
- After-hours gain: +82.5%
- After-hours volume: 21.04M
- Overnight volume: 14.48M
- Momentum Radar: 8 hits
- Volume Radar: 84 hits
- Relative volume: 4.98x
SAFX has one of the most aggressive after-hours moves in the package, supported by substantial volume and signals from multiple scanners.
The question for Monday is whether buyers can sustain the move or whether the stock immediately gives back its gains.
An 82% move also creates significant chasing risk. I'll be watching for consolidation, spreads, and whether volume remains elevated.
$HUIZ: Strong Multi-Scanner Participation
- After-hours gain: +6.9%
- After-hours volume: 7.08M
- Momentum Radar: 71 hits
- Volume Radar: 186 hits
- Relative volume: 8.28x
HUIZ stands out because the activity isn't limited to an after-hours percentage gain.
Repeated momentum hits, volume signals, and elevated relative volume suggest substantial participation during Friday's observed windows.
For Monday, I'm watching whether that participation continues and whether price establishes a sustainable opening range.
$VCIG: After-Hours Breakout Watch
- After-hours gain: +42.6%
- After-hours volume: 6.10M
- Overnight volume: 5.39M
- Momentum Radar: 7 hits
- Relative volume: 1.09x
VCIG posted a significant after-hours move, but its relative-volume reading is much less impressive than SAFX or HUIZ.
That makes fresh volume confirmation especially important.
I'll be watching whether the stock holds its after-hours levels rather than assuming the breakout continues.
$MMA: Sustained Momentum and Volume
- Momentum Radar: 195 hits
- Volume Radar: 257 hits
- Relative volume: 18.56x
MMA is one of the stronger participation setups in the scan.
Nearly 200 momentum hits and more than 250 volume signals indicate repeated unusual activity across the observed session.
Unlike the after-hours leaders, this is primarily a momentum-persistence watch.
$SHFS: Heavy Volume Radar Activity
- Momentum Radar: 52 hits
- Volume Radar: 407 hits
- Relative volume: 9.79x
SHFS recorded more than 400 volume signals alongside elevated relative volume.
The question is whether that participation translates into directional strength on Monday.
Heavy volume can accompany accumulation, distribution, or two-sided trading. I'll be watching the price response.
SECONDARY WATCHLIST: REPEATED PARTICIPATION
These names showed significant scanner activity and deserve attention if fresh volume confirms the move.
$TGL
- Momentum Radar: 202 hits
- Volume Radar: 116 hits
- Relative volume: 15.04x
$LHSW
- Momentum Radar: 222 hits
- Volume Radar: 299 hits
- Relative volume: 6.31x
$XELB
- Momentum Radar: 65 hits
- Relative volume: 3.47x
$CRWG
- Volume Radar: 467 hits
- Relative volume: 7.43x
$SXTC
- Volume Radar: 498 hits
- Relative volume: 16.36x
$SDST
- Volume Radar: 837 hits
- Relative volume: 6.05x
These are historical participation signals, not confirmed bullish setups. The volume and price structure need to agree before they become actionable.
EXTREME RELATIVE VOLUME: HIGH-RISK WATCH
A separate group produced unusually large relative-volume readings:
- $XLAB: 100.64x RVOL, 438 momentum hits
- $SMX: 95.99x RVOL, 94 momentum hits, 92 volume hits
- $SGRX: 93.07x RVOL, 458 momentum hits, 30 volume hits, 1 alert
- $ZTG: 68.03x RVOL, 311 momentum hits, 13 volume hits
- $NWGL: 62.16x RVOL, 416 momentum hits, 44 volume hits
These are attention-worthy readings, but extreme relative volume can be misleading when the historical baseline is very low.
I'm keeping this group separate from the primary list until current liquidity, spreads, and price action provide stronger confirmation.
ADDITIONAL AFTER-HOURS WATCHES
$AAME
- After-hours gain: +20.9%
- After-hours volume: 484K
- Relative volume: 3.32x
- Momentum Radar: 1 hit
- Alerts: 1
Other names worth checking for fresh after-hours follow-through include $FUFU, $TWG, and $FVN.
These have less complete confirmation in the supplied summary than the primary candidates.
MONDAY'S PRIORITIES
My five primary research names:
- $SAFX — Largest after-hours move with multi-scanner participation.
- $HUIZ — Strong combination of momentum, volume, and after-hours activity.
- $VCIG — Significant after-hours breakout requiring stronger volume confirmation.
- $MMA — Sustained momentum and exceptionally high relative volume.
- $SHFS — Heavy repeated volume activity with momentum confirmation.
WHAT I'M WATCHING AT THE OPEN
Does premarket volume support Friday's activity?
Are the stocks holding their opening ranges or immediately rejecting higher prices?
Are spreads reasonable, or is liquidity too thin?
Are there new SEC filings, offerings, reverse splits, or dilution risks?
Do the momentum names continue producing fresh signals, or was Friday's activity a one-session event?
One important distinction: hundreds of scanner hits do not mean hundreds of independent buyers. Repeated hits show persistence of qualifying activity, not guaranteed continuation.
THE BIG PICTURE
Friday gave us several different types of opportunities.
SAFX and VCIG are after-hours momentum watches.
HUIZ has the strongest combination of after-hours participation and repeated radar activity among the primary names.
MMA and SHFS are sustained-volume candidates.
SGRX, SMX, XLAB, ZTG, and NWGL are extreme-RVOL research names requiring additional caution.
The goal isn't to predict which stock will run. It's to identify where unusual activity is occurring and wait for price and volume to confirm.
What's everyone watching for Monday? Any catalysts or filings on these names that the scanners might be missing?
