Why do I get the feeling that I'm JUST starting to realize that most of these fucks running for office are treating it no differently than a high school homecoming dance?

well, here's the thing. I've been pretty aware of the state of things since 9/11 and up until age 35 (am 39 now) It was ALWAYS my running assumption that people just kept maturing as they got older...

Here I am all of about to be 40 just now fully coming to terms with the fact that some people never make it mentally past grade school and THAT is what is depressing for me.
