The Saab owner club in NL is planning to go to the Arctic Circle in Finland early 2027. Dad and I decided to join them and he got this beauty for the trip. Otherwise it would've been the 1992 900 cabrio.

Okay, trying to fix a 2003 Saab 9-3 linear for my son. We got the oil leak from the turbo taken care of and bought a brand new battery. iIt ran great. In a test run, I came out of the store to no start. No click in the engine, but all the lights on. Then as we were waiting for the tow truck, it started to click, but still no start.

Got it home and same thing, but then it clicked in the engine compartment several clicks, no start and then back to no click. THEN I put it into neutral and it won’t even move!

What the hell is going on? It’s getting worse just sitting there and it was purring like a kitten. I asked ai and it said the tow truck driver may have shoved it into gear while rolling and it may have jammed the parking pawl? Not even sure what that is.

Where should I even start?!? I’m so frustrated

Hi guy, recently my 2010 93 TTID developed a coolant leak. I got it checked at the garage and he said it needs an oil cooler. But to me it looks like the hose is leaking (see video pls). Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can source this hose, or is it better to change the cooler as the mechanic said.

Just replaced my cabin air filter but how the fk do I get this part back in?

I’m looking to lower my 9-3 NG next spring so i’m wondering if i should go for new shocks and lowering springs or coilovers. I dont plan on ”slamming” the car, just a bit lower. And also its just a daily driver, never on a track.

I was thinking Bilstein B4s and Eibach springs because thats cheaper and better for comfort and daily driving (i think).

But then coils would be easier to install and the height can be adjusted which would benefit me at wintertimes. And good quality coils are usually over 1000€.

It’s leaning towards shocks and springs but if anyone has some good advice i’ll take that into consideration.

Hello there! I have a 1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo. My radio works for the most part, the only issue is my cassette deck. The cassette deck does not work. If anyone has a radio of this trim, I think it would be 1994-1998 should have the same trim as they're all the same generation, that would be great!

Anyway, if anyone has one and doesn’t need it, I’d be willing to pay for shipping and cost and all.

New OEM suspension and CV Boots at 84k

Has anyone any any experience printing parts and things for your cars? Im looking at replacing the center console coin holder cover on my daughters 08 9-3 2.0t convertible. The rubber has started flaking and its sticky and just generally old. Has anyone went about 3d printing stuff for their saabs?

One of the many issues with this 9-3 when I purchased it about a year ago was an illuminated airbag light with two ACM codes stored. I had a very similar 07 wagon parts car that I sourced a replacement ACM from. Since replacing the ACM, no codes or fault conditions have been stored/noticed.

My question is... is it safe to drive the car this way? I was ok with the gamble while I took care of other issues, but now the car is pretty well sorted and I'd prefer it to be safe if I were to get into an accident.

If anyone is curious, my car is an 07 2.0 6 speed manual. The car I sourced the ACM from was an 07 2.8 automatic. I did wire the battery disconnect terminal to the ACM because a code was originally stored for that. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I have a 2003 9-3 Vector convertible and I am experiencing loose front and back movement on the (electronically adjustable) drivers seat. Seems like it began a while ago (little by little) but now it became quite disturbing while driving (accelerating, braking). Anyone has any experience, advice? I will take it to the shop but I just wanted to check with this community first. Thanks

Edit: The electronic motors and the adjustment work just fine, its just the loose movement

Owned this car now over a month and still in love with her. Unfortunately winter is coming and warm garage is waiting for her. See you next year

After a little detour owning an Alfa Romeo, i'm finally back in a Saab. Have owned this one for a few months now and i'm as happy as i can be.

Hey guys Ive had my 2011 9-3 turbo 4 convertible for about a month now. It has been an awesome car and I have really enjoyed driving the car. Previously it was garage kept by the previous owner and up kept extremely well. Recently I went to clean the convertible top using rag top products and I was going to use convertible top sealant. After cleaning it I noticed that from the rear side of the car that there was some water droplets on the rear seats. The head liner inside was all damp and wet and there were big water stains. So I aired out the car used a blow dryer and hair dryer to dry and get the headliner all dry however the water stains stayed. I then saw my wiring harness on the left side of the rear headliner right behind it was all chewed up and teared up. So I got some wire and re wired it together to hold it back together which seems fine now. My question would be why was it leaking? Is it a rubber seal leak or the actual top. And second question is my headliner just cooked now? like from the inside it has water stain splashes which just look bad mine is beige for color. anyway I can remove the stains or fix it? I have never owned or used a convertible before, so all this stuff is new to me. I also live in LA if that helps at all.

Steep drive way. Six foot river of transmission fluid draining down the drive. I’m guessing it’s a hose. How difficult are these to fix/replace? Couldn’t find much in YouTube. I’ll look at the Haynes but I’m never sure the complication level. Trying to decide if I should even look at it — it’s been a long week — or breakdown and tow to the mechanic.

I’m trying to help my uncle sell it, he says everything works properly on it. He says he had a car that had a bad crack on the engine so he parted it out and just has this assembly leftover. Tell me what y’all think it is worth and if you happen to be interested and local(I’m assuming no one’s going to want to pay shipping for something like this but lmk)
