How much better is 15/18NM vs 8NM?

Hi guys, I currently have a Logitech g29 which I've used for a while and I only have a driver rating of B on GT7 so I'm not really good yet, but I feel like it might be time for an upgrade. I'm deciding between the Fanatec GT DD Pro (8NM) and the Fanatic Clubsport DD+ (15/18NM), just wanted to hear your thoughts as experienced sim racers on whether the additional NM is really worth the additional price tag? The goal is obviously to improve my lap times and I'm struggling to rationalise the price increase in that sense lol..

Sim Rig Cockpit/setup suggestions

Post image
5 Upvotes

This is my current setup, which is ok, but the cockpit is too wobbly, i got it off fb marketplace for 40$ (everything in this rig is from marketplace) so id say it was ok, but after upgrading to the moza it is significantly mote noticable. I tried adding bubblewrap and it kinda helps, but i need suggestions for a cockpit, preferably 200-400 max, which is not much but i know would be way better than this current one

Sim Rig Current setup + upgrade advice

Post image
1 Upvotes

Okay so this is my current setup:

1) chassis: ... Wood? 😂

2) chair: old Subaru chair with railings

3) screen: old tv

4) wheelbase: csl elite belt driven

5) pedals: csl elite v2 with loadcell

6) wheel: csl elite f1

Okay so I would like to transition into a solid setup. Maybe more focused on gt racing then f1 racing since there is more variety in the gt category.

What would be good upgrades and in what order? Probably will look to snipe some good deals with black Friday.

Sim Rig Found this GT Omega Prime Lite + seat locally for ~€330 ($350). Pull the trigger?

Was originally looking at cheap tubular wheelstands/rigs around the €180–300 mark, but just stumbled across this used GT Omega Prime Lite with an aftermarket reclining seat on sliders for roughly €330

Seller says it was bought about a year ago. Wheel base not included obviously, just the frame + seat.

I'm 196 cm (6'5") and about 108 kg, planning to run a 9-12Nm DD wheel with load cell pedals.

Seems like a no-brainer over any cheap tube frame for this price, but just wanted a quick sanity check before pulling the trigger. Any weak spots on the Prime Lite I should inspect when picking it up?

Looking to start sim racing

Is it expensive to get a decent set up going? I’ve been falling in love with motor sports recently, 100% fh6 & I’m downloading F1 25 right now but I really want to get a wheel so I can play online in other racing games as a controller is tough for me(nerve damage in left side so I can’t stand Fr break or turn smoothly, I am the cookie cutter) so I wanna get a set up going. I already have a good pc & a 34 inch 1440p monitor. I plan only getting the Logitech g29 wheel and shifter. What is the cost for a decent seat? I’m nervous mounting a wheel lol. I plan to spend about $600-800 and am waiting for the BF sales

Help Using a Divoom Pixoo 64 as a Sim Racing Gear Dashboard

Has anyone managed to use the Divoom Pixoo 64 as a gear indicator or dashboard for sim racing?

I'm looking for an open-source project on GitHub or a way to connect it to SimHub and display real-time telemetry, especially the current gear.

Are there any existing integrations, scripts, or DIY solutions that could make this work?

Love a bit of cable management. Anyone else? What you using for cable management other than out of sight out of mind 😂

I bought 5m of this and 5m of the same but smaller sized. Works great.

Question for owners of Treq CXX Hybrid: what is your experience with the pedal support at the top?

Post image

Hello,

I would like to know the opinion of the owners of the Treq CXX Hybrid or of the Pedal Raise Kit using the formula position. What is your experience with the pedal support? How solid is it? I didn't find any proper review, just first impression here on reddit.

Thank you in advance

Help Help me not regret my first rig, already decided on the wheelbase

Post image

Hello guys!

Yesterday i had a post about which bundle should i choose and there were mixed comments someone said 9 nm is enough and ofc someone said even 12 is not enough.

I just came to a conclusion whatever will be on sales in the black friday promotion will be the choosen one.

However i dont have an exact rig on my mind, i searched up everything and found the one and only answer is a profile rig, but i dont want to spend that kind of money before christmas because i need to buy a lot of gifts. I want something that cheap and even that i can go with a profile and a used car seat that isnt really hitting it for me, if i buy a profile i want a seat that have my sweat on it.

My budget is around 250-300 euro and i saw this rig on aliexpress and a few people posted about it on reddit, but havent seen any videos about it and not a lot review however aliexpress buyers gave good reviews.

Do you have any else suggestions? I read that this rig usually on sales and can cost around 150-180 euros for that money i mean it can be bad to and put in the trash after 6 months and i can buy a profile.

Important note: i am 196 cm or 6’4 feet and 108 kg or around 240 lbs.

Thanks for the help!

Ive been on a tear lately after switching from vr to triples. I already had the shakers and wind sim, now I added the flags, streamdeck and built the enclosure out of 1" pink foam. Gotta get some ambient lighting next.

Help Help me not regret my first DD: which of these 4 would you pick?

Post image

Hey everyone! 👋

Long-time racing game guy, first-time sim racer here. I've put hundreds of hours into Forza, F1 and Dirt over the years, plus a bit of ACC, and I've finally decided to do this properly. This isn't a "let's see if I like it" purchase. I know I'm into this, and I want a setup I'll be using for years, not something I'll be replacing next spring.

What I'll be driving
- GT cars in ACC and Le Mans Ultimate (the main thing)
- Rally (EA WRC / Dirt Rally 2.0)
- Drifting in Assetto Corsa
- PC only, starting on a TV, triples later

I'd like to keep the whole thing reasonably budget-friendly, but I'd rather spend a bit more once than buy twice. I'm planning to wait for Black Friday deals, and I'm also open to buying used. I'm based in Hungary (EU), so prices below are in EUR, roughly what things actually go for here.

The options I'm torn between

  1. Moza R9 + KS (used ~€400–500)
    - 9Nm, KS works natively, cheapest of the bunch

  2. Moza R12 + KS (used ~€480–550)
    - 12Nm, same ecosystem; apparently the V1 has a flaky USB-B port, so I'd go for a V2 if I can

  3. Fanatec CSL DD 8Nm + GT3 wheel (used ~€450–500)
    - Good FFB from what I've read, but I'm PC only, so the console support doesn't really matter to me

  4. Simagic Alpha EVO Sport + GT Neo + P700 bundle (~€740 new, used ones listed around €650)
    - 9Nm, comes with load cell pedals, and I'd add the clutch later (~€70)

For options 1–3, I'd pair them with Simsonn Plus X pedals (3 pedals, load cell), which go for about €200–250 depending on where I buy, so hopefully a bit less on Black Friday.

What I've gathered so far (after reading way too many threads 😅)
- The EVO Sport seems to have smoother, quieter FFB and better build quality
- The R9/R12 + KS combo is the most plug-and-play, but Pit House seems to be love it or hate it
- Simsonn Plus X gets recommended everywhere as a great value pedal set

My questions

  1. For GT + rally + drift, which one would you pick, and why?
  2. Will I actually feel 9Nm vs 12Nm, especially in rally and drift, or am I overthinking it?
  3. Is the CSL DD still worth considering on PC in 2026, or does Moza/Simagic make more sense?
  4. For rally and drift, what should I add later? (handbrake, sequential shifter, round wheel?)
  5. Anything I'm missing? A rig is next on my list, so suggestions are welcome there too.

Thanks a lot in advance, I really appreciate any input. I'll report back with whatever I end up buying! 🏁

TL;DR: Committed (not just testing the waters) first DD setup for GT, rally and drift on PC, aiming for Black Friday and open to used. Moza R9 or R12 + KS, Fanatec CSL DD, or the Simagic EVO Sport bundle? Leaning towards Simsonn Plus X pedals for the non-Simagic options.
