People these days really can't handle their dark humour huh.
Probably should have cnsr*d it more or something

u/Ireallyamthisshallow 4h ago
I dunno about elsewhere but I feel in both England and Australia this is pretty par-for-the-course stuff.

Where is the humor in naming your baby after a alleged child-rapist in case it dies?
24
u/caeru1ean 6h ago
You're proving u/Swizardrules correct, it would seem
I found it funny.6

u/Zamboni-rudrunkbro 6h ago
elites abusing children is fucking hilarious. Rubbing it in your face is even funnier.

It would only lead to conspiracies if baby was delivered with a nuchal cord.
this is when the umbilical cord is wrapped around the baby's neck

Abusing children.
Not very funny, yeah? Testament to the fact that you hold nothing sacred because of the way they’ve raised you on comedy.
13
u/nbaaaaaaaah 5h ago
"Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself" quite literally became a meme, but sure.
Believe it or not, the joke wasn't actually about abusing children :D!

Why in every post "owning the chuds" there is half the comments reveling in how the post "upset the chuds" but then there is but one, maybe two negative comments at most?
Where are all these chuds you all are complaining about?

ITT chuds not getting the joke. It's ok, a lot of people struggle with jokes more than 2 sentences long.

u/Time_Ad1622 1h ago
Whats ITT and whats a chud?

u/ScreamSmart 37m ago
Chud was usually a term to demean any person with right wing opinions. But it's been used so much in the past 5 years that here it's closer to someone you need to win an argument over.
No idea what ITT is.
-32
u/Zamboni-rudrunkbro 6h ago
ITT people defending this garbage and not understanding that they’re just rubbing your nose in it as if they didn’t commit atrocities against YOU.
12
u/ternygonz90 5h ago
Who committed the atrocities? Her? Her husband? Colbert? Who of these people were Jeffrey Epstein or a client of Epstein?
6
-17
u/Zamboni-rudrunkbro 4h ago
The whole lot of them. No heads have rolled. They’re all corrupt. They’re going to get away with it due to the indifference of moral men. This is how they create the indifference.

u/Omatzus 4h ago
Blind rage makes you easy to manipulate. Take a breath. There are villains in this story, but these two are actually bringing it out in public. They are not your targets.
-6
u/Zamboni-rudrunkbro 4h ago
“It’s just dark humor”
Oh oh that’s fine. We can joke about it, then. We’ll get to who is culpable later hehe!
1
u/Omatzus 2h ago
What do you want Colbert to do other than keep Epstein in the news? He doesn't work for the government. This is impactful in its own way, to show how ludicrous our government is and highlight all the fishy circumstances around Epstein's death. We largely know who was culpable and they're being shielded by the Trump administration.
2
u/DestroyerOfMils 4h ago
They’re not getting away with it due to indifference. They’re getting away with it because of money and power.

So am I a chud for not knowing this woman? I laughed heartily at this clip, but my sense of humor is dry, dark, and, well, twisted.
21
u/Handmotion 7h ago
So, you got the joke, and seemingly understand jokes more than 2 sentences long. So far, you're not a chud. Not know who the woman is doesn't make you a chud. Possibly, what does make you chud-like is imaging that a whole new part of my comment saying not knowing who the woman is(i don't know either lol) makes you a chud.
I can't wait for this oxy to kick in.

Savage - Give her her own show
I already like her better than half of the current crop of Comedians

I recommend True Crime Story: Indefensible (2021) and Soft Focus with Jena Friedman (2018). She has stand up specials too if you watch them.

"We named the fetus" is the weirdest thing about this to me for some reason
32
u/SparkEE_JOE 5h ago
For a lot of folks, especially really early in the pregnancy or with high risk pregnancy, there is still a high chance of miscarriage, complications, etc that cause sudden loss of the pregnancy.
To help with the trauma of it all, a lot of folks try to not become too attached until they know they're past the high risk stages.
For some folks trying for a baby is a repeat hell of several years of nothing working and then miscarriage when it does work.
6
u/Aggressive_Emu_5598 4h ago
I called both my children nugget in the womb even though I had names ready they were nugget just in case anything happened. It wasn’t until I was out of the damaged zone that we assigned names. I was told that my miscarriage chances were very high on both of them so it was an emotional protection thing.
77
u/Turducken_McNugget 8h ago
I'm hoping it means that was a placeholder name until the child was born and was given their real name. Saddling someone with Jeffrey Epstein as a name would be borderline child abuse.

u/empire_of_the_moon 7h ago
If they were smart enough to understand that living with an actual name after a high risk pregnancy went bad would be painful, it’s quite obvious they were smart enough to use a placeholder name.
They just did so with humor and in a way that guaranteed that were being real with the risks.
-12
u/AnOldLawNeverDies 6h ago
I see that but the baby is born now when she is telling the story. Its like instead of saying "my son/daughter" they say "my developed fetus" but the opposite. I guess it comes down to what someone considers a baby at pregnancy which a fetus is an unborn baby.
17
u/empire_of_the_moon 5h ago edited 5h ago
I don’t think you get it. A fetus is not a baby. It’s not viable outside the womb.
In a high risk pregnancy miscarriages are not uncommon. It’s far easier to use a nickname for your fetus that you won’t have to emotionally wrestle with years later.
Your love for that fetus and it’s loss is real. But it’s not a viable human yet. And the reality is that it may not live long enough to ever survive outside the womb.
Once your fetus is outside the womb it becomes a baby and then it gets it’s actual name.
-10
u/AnOldLawNeverDies 5h ago
A baby is also not viable outside of the womb. Is a fetus not a child that hasnt been born? Is there any possibility of what the fetus will become other than a baby/child?
26
u/Telemachus70 8h ago
My wife and I did the same. He was Babio, like baby-o. Then we gave him a real name after he was born.
14
u/61539t9 8h ago
We did the same, we named ours Hank because it was funny picturing a baby with a full beard smoking cigars and gambling un her belly.
Not that Hank is a funny name in general, but feels more like an adult name then baby, absolutely no offense to anyone who named their kids Hank.

u/Typical2sday 7h ago
I have wanted a dog named Hank, but that's not a name for a puppy, so we named him Henry. He is a gentle big old dude, but he never did become a Hank.

u/VonGrippyGreen 4h ago
Ours was Murgatroyed. I still bug my daughter that her O.G. name is Murgatroyed. When she rolls her eyes about it, I correct myself and say "Oh sorry, Murgy".

I called our first born while in the womb eggbert or eggberta before we knew the sex. It was funny, I don't think this is funny though.

Who the fuck says "name the foetus"...? Is this some American cultural norm...?
3
u/Next-Wrongdoer-3479 7h ago
It's a joke, bud...
Why are people so fucking dumb when it comes to jokes? Have you never heard one before in your life or something? Do you actually believe all those people sat and watched a chicken cross the road to figure out why it was crossing?

She was having a risky pregnancy where they were scared the fetus wouldn’t make it. So they went with that name, so in case he died they could say Jeffrey Epstein killed himself. She’s a comedian so it’s meant to be a joke.
I can’t find anywhere the name they actually used

A comedian dealing with the possibility of a miscarriage in the best way she knows how.
Which is off-color, of course.

u/Born-Assignment-912 8h ago
Just the fetus. I presume they picked a different name once the baby was born?
