Quantum computing is Europe's advantage, but just not in the news a lot. Frontier physics? Europe. Nuclear Fusion? Europe. MAB cancer treatments? Europe. Genetic therapies? Europe. And China is building the first production molten salt reactor based off of work done... in Europe.
And China is building the first production molten salt reactor based off of work done... in Europe.
Because nobody could manage the regulatory burden of trying to build it in the EU… I’m not gonna try to defend Tesla’s bullshit with this car, but the EU glazing going on is ridiculous.
I live in Albuquerque, NM and we have multiple quantum computing companies, fusion companies, and some genetic therapy companies and leading edge medical manufacturers.
Oh, and the first molten salt nuclear reactor was built at Oak Ridge based upon designs from Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque.
I legitimately thought you were talking about where I live right now, lol.
Both EU and USA have huge tariffs on chinese cars. Iirc in EU is 50% and they are competitive for their price still.
England doesnt and Chinese autos are selling in record numbers
Right, because the US isn't a bureaucratic hellscape?
last time they tried to save 2 trillion in government spending they cut a bunch of genuinely helpful social systems and still increased spending by 2 trillion.
What would you call increased spending with decreased services if not bloated bureaucracy?
Meanwhile the in development European satellite internet requires like 1/100th of the satellites that US's one does. Sometimes being second is a good chance to avoid the mistakes of the first guy.

Still, Eu is a burocratic hellscape who lost the train to every new technology to China and Us
