Oh yeah, the massive drop from 0.00004 homicide rate to 0.00002; that really convinced me Europe is a utopia. When you say double you act like it's a significant increase. The vast majority of Americans have never and will never see a brutal attack let alone a homicide.

Europe is quickly becoming irrelevant, just like it was for most of history. The importance is shifting back to the part of the world that was always contributing to society: India and China. The engineers from the old world are holding up modern tech. Europe is so young and new, you must be mistaken about the level of importance of modern Europe.
You re just wrong on the stats and realities at least of western Europe. Depending on the state you can have up to 4 time the homicide rate . And I am not talking about simple shootings.

As for the rest, its cool if youre happy living in these conditions. I spent 2 years in the US , and I am pretty close with politics here in France, and I just think you're in a worst position as far as quality of life and insurance towards the future shocks (the retirement system etc..)

Anyways, there's plenty of metrics by which the USA is better than Europe. Many where it's average for Europe. And a few where it's worse by an incredibly tiny amount (like 0.00002 which you consider a large number). I like Europe, but I don't like elitists like you.
