It runs in your browser, no ads or anything have fun and let me know if you can beat the 7 kickflips I've got here.

M3 owner since 2018. Engineer by trade.
I wrote a free, ad-less app (i make $0 from it) that reduces local power emissions by charging your car when the grid is in less-demand. www.cleancrib.org; plugs directly into the official Tesla app. Prioritizes your schedule.
You can also find gas plants that may be near you here. There are ~2-3M Teslas on the road. If we all use this, we can make a (super convenient) dent in emissions.
This is easier than installing LED light bulbs, and costs nothing. Probably saves money as well, but it's optimized for pollution.

I bought a Model S plaid with self-driving paid out in 2023 and after hardware 4 I kind of regretted it. After this Halloween update and FSD 14.3 I'm no longer feeling FOMO.

Every frame is drawn in code. The page he ships from the driver's seat is real. The guy in the wings is nobody in particular.

This 2021 Model S was extremely generous gift from family friends for a major life milestone and 6 days later it had to go to the shop. 🫠
I got a notification about the 12v battery not being changed in 5 years and had an appointment for Tuesday but guess the car said “We ain’t waiting!” And decided it wasn’t moving from the charger.
The bright sides: Tesla roadside was amazing, quick and very helpful. Also the issues as covered under warranty with Tesla itself they said and whatever isn’t we got the full extra warranty too but it’s just funny to think not even a full week of enjoyment before this happened. 🤷♀️
I still love the car
Update: Tesla says it’s also the main big battery 🪫 🥲 but that’s covered too just stuck without the car for 2-3 weeks

I’ve owned several Tesla and have never had any situations like this. Situation like this are becoming more common as of late and I just don’t get it.

Early in the Roadster event Elon made a pitch to send crypto to a QR code and Tesla would double the amount and send it back to you. Seemed sketchy even for Elon. Was that a legitimate offer?

First Tesla. Any recommendations?
E: recommendations for like accessories and stuff like that

I’m 6’2 and my wife is 5’. We have our own driver profiles set on our model Y, with easy entry as well. For some reason, the car prefers her phone over mine if I have both in the pocket.
Yesterday, I had both phones in the pocket, got in, and immediately tried to drive away before the seat fully adjusted. To my horror, the car was trying to crush me while driving. Luckily, I noticed the wrong name on the display, and managed to hit the correct profile before anything serious happened.
It’s funny in retrospect, but I got genuinely scared in the moment. So, if you share your car with a short partner, you may wanna mind the keys.

I am at .38.3.1 on my 2023 MS with HW3. I stopped using FSD because my commute is not bad - only 15-20 miles a day. Just wondering if I need to enable monthly FSD subscription to get the FSD lite v14.3 because I want to try it.

Why doesn’t Tesla do this with their Matrix Headlights? Seems like this can be done with a software update. Pretty cool!
Edit: I think some people are missing the point on this video. Your low beams light up the entire road. What you’re seeing in the video is the high beams lighting up a section of road in front of the car. Then when you change lanes those high beams shift to that lane so you can see better.

Why can't people give Elon Musk the credit he deserve? At the same time they will say Steve Jobs is Amazing.

I would’ve loved to have seen something like this get announced, maybe in place of the Model S for the coop. Utilize that stainless steel and keep the look traditional.

I'm not gonna say these are particularly practical but it seems to me like they could work:
Actual controlled flight - Car accelerates without thrusters, gets up to speed, then adjusts the aero so downforce tapers off and it starts to generate lift. Active aero and thrusters stabilize it once it leaves the ground. Basically this but stabilized by active aero and thrusters. In this scenario, thrusters don't need to launch the car against gravity or break its fall, so I think it could sustain this for a good amount of time. It might even be able to do it indefinitely if the thrusters can continuously recharge as they simultaneously make small adjustments. The rear thrusters could occasionally fire to maintain speed. I would expect that this would only allow for straight-line flight near the ground, but there could potentially be some degree of pitch/roll/yaw control as well. This would be real flight because the car itself would be generating lift. It would be like the first couple Wright Flyer flights (low altitude, straight line) but much faster. Obviously this would be super illegal and dangerous, I'm just saying it seems like it would be possible.
Vertical wall ascent - The first demo they showed required a custom-built ramp that the car could smoothly drive up. I don't think a ramp is strictly necessary, though. Imagine if the car drove up to a wall and then yeeted itself into the air, repositioning itself so it was pointing up at the sky, and then hovering briefly while slowly maneuvering itself against the wall. At that point, the fan would kick in and create suction to keep the car in place like in the demo. Now the thrusters are no longer needed and the car is planted firmly on the wall. The car can then drive up the wall while the thrusters recharge. Once it has traversed up the wall, it can do the whole maneuver in reverse to dismount and land back on a horizontal surface. Essentially, the car would be able to scale a skyscraper in this way. Again, obviously super illegal and dangerous but it seems technically possible.
I think both of the ideas above would be possible to pull off under full manual control. It would be similar to playing Elite: Dangerous with flight assist off if anyone is familiar with that game. Manual control makes it even more unsafe, but the driver of the rocket augmented version is basically a test pilot anyway and it would be cool to see a stunt driver like Ken Block (RIP) in full control and showing off the craziest things that the car can do. Also, manual control of the thrusters would be in keeping with their "Last Best Driver's Car" tagline.
TL;DR - Seems to me like the rocket augmented Roadster could do long high-speed glides/hops and also I think it could yeet itself onto a flat wall (or skyscraper) without needing a ramp.

I’m simply amazed at the Tesla demo and the engineering marvel of the folks who developed the new Roadster.
Of course, this new flying technology will likely require analysis of an entirely new dataset of user experiences. 🤣😂
