Football Questions from a visiting fan
Hey there guys!
First off, Good luck tonight! I'll be rooting for you.
I'm a USC fan coming next week with my teenage daughter and her grandmother. I'm looking for any and all advice for enjoying your beautiful city.
I've written here before and got some great advice, but now that we're a week away I'm hoping there can maybe be some fine tuning. I'm already very excited for the 5th quarter. That's exactly the kind of thing we travel to away games for. I've been told I need to try cheese curds at the old fashioned and spicy cheese bread at the farmers market.
We'll be coming up a few days early to be a tourist and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for us. Anything particularly Wisconsin we should make sure not to miss? We're planning on going to one of your local farm's fall festivals because we just don't get fall down here, but I do worry if it skews a bit young for my teenager. We also bought tickets for a theater show at your Union which should be a lot of fun.
We particularly like experiencing nature... especially if there are unorthodox adventures we can do there. We did this 4x4 mountain tour when we traveled to Colorado, and a boat trip through the locks in Seattle. That kind of thing. Is something like Parfey's Glenn worth the drive up from town when you only have a day or two? Is Devils Lake an easy nature walk for a 70 year old? We're Nature Walkers, not hikers I'm afraid. Is The House on the Rock worth the time we could be spending on things in Madison itself?
Thanks! We're very excited to experience your beautiful neck of the woods.
