| Discussion Had an RTO Meeting Today… Here Are the Key Things That Most People Miss

We had an RTO awareness session today covering office attendance, RTO booking, Hoteling, compliance, office location allocation, exceptions, and a few common misconceptions.

I took notes during the session, so sharing the major takeaways below in case it helps others

1. Follow Your Assigned RTO Schedule

  • Attend the office only on the day(s) assigned in the RTO tool.
  • Do not switch to another day on your own, as office seating and capacity are planned in advance.
  • Example: If your assigned RTO day is Wednesday, don't decide to visit on Friday unless you follow the approved process.

2. Complete the RTO Confirmation

  • Physically coming to the office is not enough.
  • You must confirm your visit in the RTO tool.
  • Once confirmed, your seat is automatically assigned one day before your visit.
  • Example: If you're scheduled for Thursday, mark your attendance in the RTO tool. On Wednesday, your seat details will be available automatically.

3. Use Hoteling Only When Required

  • Use Hoteling only for:
    • Additional office days required by your project.
    • Compensating for a missed RTO day due to a valid reason (medical emergency, optional holiday, etc.).
  • Examples:
    • Your RTO day is Wednesday, but your project requires 2 office days/week. Attend Wednesday through RTO and book Hoteling for Friday.
    • You missed Wednesday due to a doctor's appointment. Book Hoteling for Thursday or Friday instead.

4. Follow the Location-Specific Attendance Policy

  • Pune, Noida & Coimbatore: Complete at least one office visit every rolling 14-day window.
  • Other locations (e.g., Hyderabad, Mumbai): Follow your assigned weekly RTO schedule.
  • Example: If your rolling window is 2–15 August, you must complete at least one office visit within that period.

5. Report Only to Your Assigned Office Location

  • Your project is mapped to a specific office/building.
  • Do not change office locations on your own.
  • Location changes are allowed only through the Facility Decider process by authorized teams.
  • Example: If your project is assigned to CDC 2, you should report only to CDC 2, not CDC 5 or CDC 6, unless officially approved.

6. Follow the Official Process for Exceptions

  • For medical emergencies, leave, or temporary exemptions, contact HR and follow the official exception process.
  • If you miss an RTO day, compensate as per the applicable process.
  • Example: If you miss your RTO day because of a doctor's appointment, check with HR or book another office day through Hoteling, if applicable.

7. Use Only the Relevant Tools

  • Regular employees mainly need:
    • RTO Booking/Confirmation
    • Hoteling Booking (when required)
  • Manager-only tools (e.g., Facility Decider) are for authorized personnel.
  • Example: Employees should not request access to facility management tools unless their role requires it.

8. Office Attendance & Hours Are Tracked

  • The organization tracks:
    • Office attendance
    • Duration of stay (hours spent in the office)
  • This information is monitored centrally at the leadership level.
  • Example: Your office entry and exit times may be used to calculate how long you stayed in the office.

9. Compliance Is Handled Confidentially

  • Individual attendance/compliance data is not shared publicly.
  • Non-compliance is reviewed only by the relevant DU, HR, and Leadership teams.
  • Example: If an employee doesn't meet the required attendance, only the concerned management teams are notified.

10. Overall Objective

  • The goal is not just to visit the office, but to follow the complete RTO process correctly.
  • This includes:
    • Visiting on the assigned day.
    • Confirming the visit in the RTO tool.
    • Using Hoteling only when required.
    • Reporting to the assigned office location.
  • Example: If you come to the office but don't confirm your RTO visit in the tool, you've completed the visit but missed an important compliance step.

| Bench / PIP Immediate PIP on technology refusal

For all newly hired AASEs and ASEs:

Previously, if a new joiner denied onboarding to a project due to a technology mismatch, or refused an LCT to a different technology stack, it was typically marked as a refusal. While this could negatively impact performance and progression discussions through the PRT, it did not usually result in immediate separation.

Under recent directives from Accenture Song leadership, the consequences are reportedly much stricter. Similar cases may now lead to an immediate Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Since most new hires are still under probation, the resulting separation process could be significantly faster due to the shorter notice period applicable during probation.

Anyone joining should be aware of these expectations and carefully evaluate their flexibility regarding project allocation and technology assignments.

| Discussion My honest experience working here the last 2 years

For anybody who is looking to join ACN or disheartened that they couldn't make it, let's just say you are not missing out on anything life changing. ACN does change your life, just not in the best way. I am a lateral hire and I had plenty experience working in my domain before hire. I was still unprepared for the amount of shit I was going to face everyday here.

- There's rampant mismanagement. It's almost like the middle managers have no idea how to manage a project or deliverables. The project is surviving on miracles, ego clashes and a few hardworking folks. Notice how I said 'few'.

- There is a culture of threat and intimidation. Your manager and leads will use emails like a weapon against you. Even before you know anything is wrong, bam there goes an escalation mail. Your feedback will not be communicated to you, it will be communicated to leadership and you will be a silent observer.

- The only company where you will be targeted and actively pulled down if you're doing good work! This was the most shocking to me. I have seen everywhere that if you are slightly more competent than others, you are given more work. My first time seeing higher-ups hating on you for being able to do what they cannot and then making your life hell for it.

- You cannot choose your projects. You will be staffed (more like, stuffed) into the next project that has a vacancy. No calls, no discussions, anything. If your PL is helpful, maybe they can pull some strings for you. If not, you're on your own. A PM can continue extending you in their project (because you do good work) while screwing your feedback (because they don't like you).

| Advice Needed No Longer Under Consideration after Final Interview. Please read body.

I gave my Final Interview for LLM Developer Role on Wednesday and on Friday received an email with content

"Thank you so much for your interest in the role of LLM Model Developer. After careful consideration of your application against the requirements of the role, we’ve decided not to take your application ahead."

I felt the interview went really well and had a positive reaction from the Interviewer as well.

What I am wondering is - that my first interview had to be rescheduled because there was no photo for the interviewer to verify. He told me that since there is no photo, your application might get auto rejected, hence he asked me to get it fixed and give the interview.

During the second interview HR told me to show my aadhar card to the interviewer and give the interview. Then the same thing in the final interview.

Is it possible that my application got auto rejected? Has anyone faced something like this? Would appreciate any help here.

| Discussion Anyone who recently appeared for the Accenture assessment? Need help with Coding and SQL

Hi everyone!

Has anyone recently appeared for the Accenture on-campus hiring assessment in 2026?

I want to know what types of questions were asked in the Coding and SQL sections.

  • Coding: What topics were covered? Arrays, strings, basic Python?
  • SQL: Were the questions based on JOINs, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries, aggregate functions, or something else?
  • Difficulty level: Easy, medium, or hard?
  • Any specific questions or topics you remember would be really helpful.

Please share your recent experience or preparation tips. It would help a lot. Thank you! 🙏

| Rant / Vent Accenture's one active application policy is so frustrating for freshers

I'm a 2026 graduate, and honestly, I'm so tired of this job search.

I've been applying to jobs for months, trying to get my career started, and it's already difficult enough to find opportunities as a fresher. But Accenture's one active application policy is genuinely frustrating me.

I applied for a role around two months ago, and my application is still showing as active. I haven't received a rejection, and I can't apply for other fresher roles because of this stupid restriction.

Like, what am I supposed to do? Just sit and wait indefinitely while new job openings keep coming up?

I understand that a company might want candidates to apply for only one role at a time. Fine, fair enough. But if you're not going to move forward with my application, at least reject it or close it after some time. Why keep it active for months and prevent me from applying for other positions?

I'm not asking them to hire me. I just want a chance to apply for other roles that I might actually be a good fit for.

And from what I've seen online, apparently, even cancelling the application isn't always enough. People say you have to email the recruitment team and ask them to remove your application from their system as well. Why does something this simple have to be such a headache?

I'm already struggling to find a job, like so many other 2026 graduates, and it's honestly demotivating to feel like I'm losing out on opportunities because of something like this.

Has anyone here faced the same issue with Accenture? If you cancelled your application and emailed the recruitment team, did it actually work? Who did you contact, and how long did it take to resolve?

Any help would genuinely be appreciated.

| Quick Question When can we change our base location?

Hi everyone, can we change our base location after 1–2 years, or does it depend on the project and company policy? As of now my project doesn't allow to work from my desired location. Is it possible to change later, or are we stuck with the assigned location? And what will be the process to change the base location after a definite time?

Would appreciate your insights!

| Advice Needed Need advice

I joined Accenture as an Associate Software Engineer (ASE) on July 2026, and it has been around two months. Currently, I’m working on a project where I’m required to come to the office four days a week, while most of the other team members are coming only 2 days a week.
I spoke with my manager and asked whether it would be possible for me to work from my hometown for one or two days occasionally, but I was told that I would need to take leave and that working from my hometown is not possible.
I’m a little unsure about how I should handle this situation, especially since I’m the only one following the four-day office schedule. Do you have any advice on what would be the best way to approach this with my manager or what options I should consider?
I’d really appreciate your guidance.
