Help - General I’ve never had clear skin
to preface some 20, I’ve gone on a round of Accutane and it made me really sick and didn’t work. My dermatologist can’t see me until December 20. I’m sick and tired of this. I get cystic acne nonstop. I don’t use harsh products. I feel like I’ve tried everything. I just need recommendations at this point…. I’m just embarrassed to even go to work at this point.

Help - General How can I treat my acne?
I have been struggling with acne for years. I’ve tried tretinoin, clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide and various other actives. In 2023 I started getting breakouts like these (but not nearly as bad as it is now) in which I went to the dermatologist for. They prescribed me a pill (I don’t remember the name of it but it wasn’t accutane) and clindamycin along with Cerave face wash and La Posay moisturizer for oily skin type. It helped my skin for a bit, but then months later the acne came back and this time they prescribed me tretinoin instead of clindamycin. After that, my skin never got better. I’ve tried countless different products, nothing has worked, and I don’t know what to do anymore.
Right now I’m using good molecules azaleaic acid, vanicream face wash, and cocokind electrolyte water cream. I have oily, sensitive skin. What should I do to save my skin, pls help me😔

Routine Help Acne around eyebrows and on nose.
I keep breaking out around my eyebrows and in the middle of them and my eyes. I also break out on my nose tips alot so its often red from scars. I wash my face twice a day and apply glycolic acid to them sometimes. Pimple patches help flatten them but they keep coming back in the exact same spot. What can i do?

Help - General How long have you already been using Epiduo Forte on a daily regimen?
I’ve already been using it every day for one year, because three months ago I stopped in order to switch to adapalene only, the acne came back, now I’ve switched back to Epiduo Forte again, my skin’s condition is ideal and I don’t want to stop.

Help - General Hormonal acne around ovulation
Hello! 29F here. Has anyone noticed acne flairs up around ovulation? I know typically with hormonal acne it’s in the week or so before your period, but I feel like mine generally is not in that time frame, and it’s more during follicular and ovulation.
Maybe it’s not hormonal acne? It is always around my chin though.
Acne is so annoying 😞

Routine Help I’m so sick of my closed comedones 😭
I’ve had these for a while now but they always flare up and get worse just when I think they’re beginning to get a tad better 😔
I’m currently only a week in, but my newest twice-a-day regime to try to combat them and my general acne (only a week in) is the BYOMA Creamy Jelly Cleanser, followed by their Hydrating Milky Toner, and then the CVS Acne Spot Treatment with 10% benzoyl peroxide for my bigger zits. Any suggestions? Should I keep up with this current regime and see if it actually gets me anywhere? I do like how gentle the cleanser is, it’s one of the few cleansers that doesn’t dry my skin out too much.

Success Story La Roche Posay face wash
I have been fighting adult acne (42yo female) for three years, after having clear skin for decades. Took spironolactane, used tret, and used laroche posay face cleanser as recommended by my dermatologist. I ran across a post somewhere saying LRP products caused breakouts. Stopped using the cleanser, picked up some micellar water, and fast forward several weeks my acne was basically GONE. After a couple months, I stopped the spiro also. After about 5 months off it, my skin is still clear. I will occasionally still get one or two pimples in the week before my period, but I started with constant cheek, chin, and neck covering pimples. It feels almost miraculous.
I realize everyone has different skin types that will react differently to products, but I wanted to share in case it helps someone else.

Personal Cystic pimple
Hi everyone, first of all I wanna say that English isn’t my main language so sorry if i make mistakes writing, before 3 days I woke up with a pimple that was a little bit bigger than usually, ofc I tried popping it and there was weird white liquid coming out first, but after that only blood so I stopped, I noticed that day by day it got bigger and it became rock hard, right now it feels very big inside the skin, and it feels very hard when touched, it also hurts a lot when I try to lay down on this side of the head, I wanted to ask if anyone had a similar problem recently, and if so how did you treat it?I am not even sure if it’s only a pimple as it is so hard!!!

Help - General Forehead acne
Can someone give me genuine tips on clearing forehead acne🙏🏻 I have had these since high school tbh and usually it comes once in a while and it fades without any treatment and it comes back again but this time it’s been more 5 months and apart from increasing day by day I haven’t really felt any improvement in it . And when it comes to the serums I have used it the past… I haven lost count tbh. I have tried every single thing like niacinamide, salicylic acid , adapalene, tretinoid and recently I switched my azelaic acid from 10% to 20% , and I felt like that made it so much worse

On Friday I started seeing redness then seen this. Using panoxyl and acne spot neutrogena spot treatment. I don't know wtf it is. They don't look like pimples. It's been appearing on only one side of my face & on my chin as well. l've never had acne only a few pimples here and there nothing like this. Don't know what to do and it's more around my mouth and cheek. Any recommendations of what I should use? I don't typically sleep on this side. Product Question Adult Acnomel Out of Stock?
Does anyone here use Adult Acnomel? I live in Canada and it isn't available here so I've always gotten it from American Amazon or eBay, but in the past month or two it's been out of stock on every single site save for some super sketchy looking ones. Has anyone been able to find any in the past while, or was it discontinued or something?

Help - General Skin is making me depressed
This clumps on my cheeks used to be smaller but they’re spreading and I still don’t know what they are. I’ve been more stressed this year and been changing shifts into nights so maybe this is the cause?
My routine:
Cerave gentle cleanser(the green one)
La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermallergo fluide for moisturizer
Sometimes use Benzoyl peroxide for spot treatment
And always wear SPF
I tried and keep switching skincare. This year has been the worse year for my skin.

Routine Help My cystic pimple forming under my skin went away with fungal acne treatment. Does fungal acne look cystic sometimes?
I usually breakout along my jawline, but recently I started to breakout on my nose and forehead, not small pimples. It’s usually one or two red pimples. But I tried head and shoulders and got a fungal safe moisturizer and it helped so much. I don’t want to buy all new products unless this is a thing tho. Anyone have similar experience?

Help - General thoughts on another month of accutane?
My derm said that it’s basically up to me to go another month on Accutane or transitioning off now if I want. I’m way past my cumulative dose but still get tiny pimples around my period the past 2 months. Otherwise I’m fully clear the rest of the month. I really don’t want to relapse. For those of you who have been on Accutane (especially those with hormonal acne), do you think another month is worth it?
My derm said either way I’ll use tretinoin or another topical for maintenance after.

Help - General Total noob looking for advice on how to treat chronic pimples in T-zone/the area between my eyebrows and forehead
Hi everybody, I’m completely new to skincare, but I thought it was worth a try asking others on Reddit what to do about my skin. For months now (more than a half a year), I’ve been having pimples showing up most often in the area between my eye brows and my lower forehead. I did some research, and I think that spot is called the T-zone? At first, I was mainly breaking out when I was super stressed with school and exams and such, and I basically just chalked it up to that and let it go. But my pimples for some reason just keep getting worse, especially lately over the past month than ever before in my entire life. It feels like my pimples in this area never go away, like they’re never fully healing or something, idk. There’s always redness and like red/dark marks left behind. It’s like whenever I have a pimple go down, a new one just grows right back in that same spot a week later. I attached some photos of my pimples for reference.
For my skin care routine, I’ll be honest and admit that I don’t use any special products or anything, because I’ve always been told by other people that when you have acne, using products just makes it worse (I’m not sure if this is true or not). I basically just wash my face once a day and sometimes apply pimple patches, but it just doesn’t seem effective. I don’t know anything about what I should be doing.
I find that my forehead and nose are always soo oily and gross, even though I try to dab away the oil with napkins and what not. But the rest of my skin like my cheeks and skin feel normal, so idk what’s going on. I also notice that I often have bumps form on my forehead that aren't pimples and usually subside the next day. Is that caused by excess oil buildup? The weird thing is that I tried to ask my friend who used to have severe acne but not anymore what I should do, but they just told me I should use a moisturizer or a lotion for my forehead. I really don’t see how that would be effective since my forehead is clearly already too oily, so wouldn’t adding more oil just make everything worse?
I‘m desperate for advice on how to clear my skin up, get rid of these pimples for good, and if there are any products I should be using. If so, I’m open to any and all recommendations and would try anything! Thank you so much for any help!
